We were talking about Holiday cooking the other day. And I thought this may help some of us out.

Thanks for the link. I really need some strategies to help me during the Holiday season. I don't want to dread it like every other year.
The article was very helpful!

Glad you liked it.

At holiday meals, there is so much food, it is too easy to over eat, or graze all day.  I like to try a lot of my favorite things.

My tip, I use a regulary spoon (the kind you eat with), to dish out my food from the serving bowl.  This gives me one of two bites of what I want.  I find I don't over eat at that meal.

Smart idea.
I am going to try that.

I cook so much food...I try and cook all of our southern favorites for the holidays...My husband is from here and he doesn't eat some of the stuff I cook. He also can not understand why I cook enough to feed the city of Wayne. I have to admit it is habit. But, now with the grandbabies getting older and my daughter having outlaws I can send a lot of leftovers home with her and she can feed her neighborhood too.

But, I digress, what I end up doing is I taste as I cook and therefore by the time we all lsit down I am full and do not eat...Not sure if that is good or bad.
