Morning all,

I'm first!!!!

Just had a couple cups of joe, then on to breakfast.  I may splurge today and make carbquick pancakes and eggs.  YUMMY!!

And I guess that's where my Q: of the day will come from.  I never thought I'd make high protein pancakes w/ fried eggs (and only be able to eat just one!).  What new foods have you discovered since surgery that you never thought you would eat before this journey began?

Have a great rain free day,

Edie

Good Morning Edie and all you other Michiganders, who will follow!

What you doing up so early? Edie
Having my cup of chicken broth will make protein drink in a few.
Day 4 of the liquid protein diet. Hell week. I had the hungry's so bad last night that I drank a 1/2 gal of water in 15 minutes and went to bed. so they did not bother me. It didn't work cause I was up all night going to the can. LOL

QOTD: I have not had my surgery, but have been trying new things that I have seen discussed on the Oh forum.  One is Fage yogurt. It taste like cheese cake. so. good. and the the other is that I never thought I would be buying Protein. I feel kind of weird when I buy it at the GNC store cause of my size and knowing that mostly body builders go there to buy it. And the sales person is very buff. But He is really nice and give me deals on stuff to try, since I told him why I was trying them.

Have a great day every one!
Kristy get well soon!

Good Morning All,

Most of the things I eat now are new for me.  I eat yogert and never cared for it before.  I eat chili and although I liked It before I never made it.  Now it is a staple.  I love eggface's egg rosettes.  I am more of an expermintal cook now.  I now put stuff in a bowl, this, that, the kitchen sink.  It taists (spelling ??) good most time.  Sometimes not. lol

Good Midmorning Everyone,
I hope everyone is doing good today.  I am working on my first 24 ounces of water.  It isn't going down real smooth today.  QOTD: Squash I couldn't eat it the smell turned my stomach, and now it tastes good.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good afternoon everyone.  What a beautiful day in SE Michigan!  DH has been outside winterizing all morning.  Now he's in the kitchen making apple pie with splenda.  What am I doing?  Relaxing.  It's Sunday!  Okay so I did put a load of wash in this morning.  Later on I'll go downstairs and do a little quilting that I have loaded on the frame now.

Have had my protein with chai tea this morning.  Surprising how fast that becomes a habit.

No comments yet on the QOTD.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

It's almost time to think about dinner.  It'll probably be beans and a protein drink for me for dinner.  Had oatmeal with walnuts and raisins for breakfast and some creamed corn for lunch.  Decaf all day today to keep me warm.  It sure is chilly up here, and DAMP.  Ick.
QOTD:  Other than protein drinks and using protein powder in a lot of things, I haven't really found any new foods.  I've just changed my way of eating and thinking.  Still haven't tried anything real sugary cuz I don't want to find out that I can tolerate it.  I'm really at a stand still and the only thing that will help is exercise.  I wish I could be like Deb and have exercise be my transfer addiction.
