Hi there!  I want to start off by saying I'm VERY excited to find this Forum! I have been on
another  forum for about a year, and was so excited to find this one and saw that there are
actually people CLOSE TO HOME and with my same doctor!!! WOOO HOOO!!
I can't wait to dive right in, meet people, support others and get support from others!
I am scheduled for RNY on November 5, 2009.  I've been in the process for exactly one
year now and I can't believe its here.  I start my 1 week liquid diet next Wednesday.
I can't wait to talk to others in my area, hear your stories!  I'm also interested in starting
(or maybe there is already?!) a "clothes exchange" maybe once a month in our local
areas to help each other through out our weight loss journeys!!
So HI ALL!  Can't wait to meet everyone!!!

Hi there.  Welcome to the forum!

Dr. Carlin will also be my surgeon.  I have a surgery date of Jan. 4th.   Your date is coming up very soon.  Are you all ready for it?

I know in a few months I will be very interested in the clothing exchange.  At first though, I have a 'boatload' of clothes which do not fit me anymore, so I'll probably be set for a while.

Glad to have you here!

Welcome. I too am one that has just recently found the forum. Good luck on your surgery too!

I am always up for a clothing exchange too! I have almost made it to an empty closet. I have a few pieces of clothing that still fit, but I am mostly living in yoga and sweat pants. I have a whole lot of clothes stored in the basement that I have shrunken out of that my husband keeps begging me to get rid of!

Welcome,

Your date will be here before you know it!!!

Have you ever been to the Salvation Army for new (to you) clothes???  I NEVER thought I would go to one, but they are GREAT!!!!!!  I would say that 1/2 of my clothes are from there, it is such a money saver.  You have to take your time though, they put the clothes in 'like' order, not size order, ie: cords....it looks like a rainbow.

Give it a try.

Good luck on your journey (yes Brenda I said journey),

just for you babe!  But seriously, you have to try a Salvation Army....I never thought I'd step foot in one, but now I'm a big fan.  I don't go as often as I did, but now I'm looking for specific things....ok that's an excuse, but I did go!
