Good Saturday Morning, everyone!
What's in your cup today? Starting the black, decaf real soon. Had hot Grape Nuts for breakfast this AM-love them, but the band doesn't. Oh well.
QOTD-Weekend plans? Got a lot of leaves that need attention. It sure is  gorgeous out there. Hopefully the rain won't be a part of the weekend. DH is off tomorrow, so it means our date to Sam's Club..
Prayers for Kristi that she gets relief from her pain and infection!!
Have a good one!

Morning all,

Having some java, then on to breakfast, not sure what I'm going to have, but hot Grape Nuts sound good, I don't have any, but it sounds good :)

Q:  I was going to be lazy all weekend, then I started looking around, damn, the house needs a good scrubbing, winter clothes still need to come out and summer ones put away :(, and some annuals need to be cleaned out of the garden....oh so many things to do.  Oh well, I'm not good at being lazy anyways!

Have a great day all,

Edie

Morning Deb and Edie and the rest of the crew,
I am headed out to Battle Creek to hang with my sister's kids.  We're carving pumpkins and hanging out with the Wii.

It's cold and rainy...ick!  I hate driving, but driving in the rain is the worst!

I'm anxious to hear how Kristy is doing.  I'm glad she got herself in to the hospital and is being taken care of.

A question for those of you that have had an EGD-Is it normal to have a really bad sore throat two days after?  I didn't feel anything at all on Thursday, but last night and today it's killing me!

Hope you all have a good day!

Hi Brenda,
It's normal to have a sore throat after an EGD because they put a tube down your throat to look around and it can be irritating to the tissues. Chloraseptic spray can help with the discomfort or a warm sal****er gargle can too...

Good Morning Everyone,
I just finished my first 24 ounces of water.  Will start the exercise soon.  My plans for today, I have to go across the street and help clean my friends house as it is Bunco night.  I am also making a peach upside down cake for bunco it has been requested.  I really need to go through clothes I have to weed out some that are to big.  Then after bunco the Mayor is having a halloween party I am suppose to go to and meet some people there.  That is all I have for today.  Sorry to hear about Kristi and hope she gets better very soon.  Stay warm and have a great day!!

Christina

WOW Bunco?

Do thay still do that? My mother belonged to a Bunco club along time many yrs ago.
I can remember cleaning house for her turn when I was a young girl.
How fun.

You live in Romulas. Have you ever been to Jordon's on Middlebelt and Van Born Rd.?
It looks like a dive but they have the best prime rib and french onion soup. Yum Yum
They work with me on my dietary need too.

What are the door prized like now?

I just started playing bunco last year and I love it.  We have a 25.00 cash door prize if your name gets drawn you win it.  We have 2 10.00 and 2 15.00 prizes.  You pick the gifts when it is your turn to host bunco.  Tonight we are having a breat cancer bunco all prizes will be related to breast cancer.  Then there is a 5.00 prize for whoever has the last bunco.  I have never been to Jordon's but have been told they have very good food.  It isn't far from my house either.  I live at Wayne & Wick the sub behind McDonalds.  I grew up here and live 14 houses from my mom.

Good Day Mates!

Got up at 4 am hungry belly syndrome. had some beef broth and then later had hot chocolate protein drink from betterMD.com. It was good only 12 gs of protein.
Took the deer hunter to work, and on the way my dashboard light went out. then the Po Po stopped me to tell me my tails lights were out. OH JOY!  Hubby will look at it when he gets home.

Did any one else have all kinds of stupid stuff happen the week before they had surgery? Or is this just my luck? A way the Almighty has planned to keep me from worrying about surgery?
If it is. Dear Lord I am not worried because I have You, my sweet family and my wonderful friends at MI OH.

I hope Kristy is going to be OK now that she is getting the IV's. So sorry she has to go throuht this. Big Hug to you Kristy. Get Well Soon!

QOTD: DH will be in town today so I will pick him up later. Will pick up DD the deer hunter at 12pm from Dexter. Where she works. Plan on getting a work out in  later this the afternoon.
And completing Day 3 of the Pro-op liquid diet (HELL WEEK). I have lost a few lbs. I can feel it. But my tummy is like a Little hungry monster every 2.5 hrs needs 2 feed.

I got a little shaky this morning, felt all trembles inside. Think it is from the diet. Feel OK now.

Let's see I never do anything without something happening it seems lol.  I had to do the liquid for 2 weeks.  The day I started we hadn't heard from the insurance yet, and I was calling them 2 and 3 times a day.  The second day in I was approved.  My friend had the lapband in November and as a good friend I ran her daycare out of her house.  She came home and couldn't walk for some reason she was in alot of pain.  She ended up not going back to work till after the first of the year, and I just knew I was gonna have to put my surgery off.  She made a comment that it wasn't gonna be her fault I didn't have surgery at that point I knew something was up with her.  I think she knew I would run her daycare you can't leave parents hanging and she could do nothing and still have money coming in.  I did have my surgery when I was suppose to and she told me I would be down and out for 2 months or longer.  I was released a day early from the hospital and that Saturday at bunco.  I think it is a mind over matter I told myself yes this would be uncomfortable but not much pain and that is how it was.  Sorry I like to talk  lol
