Dr. Pleatman ANYONE!!!!?????

I have scheduled surgery for Dec. 29th. Is there anyone out there that has had him or knows anyone that did? I just like to get a feel from other patients......I've read some really good things about him.....thanks much.

I had the sleeve done in July by Dr. Pleatman. I think he is a very skilled surgeon. There was a problem during my surgery where they had trouble intubating me, but that wasn't something that could have been known in advance. All things considered, I actually recovered really quickly.

Just be aware that he's not the most friendly guy in the world. He's very blunt in what he says. I believe he does care what happens to his patients and is just trying to be honest, but that can definitely be off putting.

As far as what to expect as you go, if yours is anything my experience, I went to his office twice before surgery. You already have a date so I imagine that means you have already had a consultation with him. Did they tell you about going to a class before surgery? A couple days before my surgery, I had to go to his office and meet with the nutritionist. After that, I had to drive over to the hospital for pre-op testing.
