Monday, Monday!

Good morning, all.  Had my coffee early(like 4AM early) and am now eating some oatmeal.  We had a crazy weekend around here as the roofing party commenced Friday afternoon.  My brother and his family came with his inlaws' camper and two dogs.  One of their dogs got loose and ran away.  It never came back and we couldn't find it.  So, that part sucked, but we do have a new roof!  My brother, SIL and my BIL worked their butts off all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  They all headed home about 5:30 Sunday evening.  All I did over the weekend was cook.  Had to feed 11 people, 3 meals for 2 days and 2 meals for one day.  We went through a lot of food!

QOTD: For me, it might be interesting to look back at my day from a different perspective.  For an Alzheimer's patient, I don't know.  My mom doesn't have alzheimer's but does have a mild dementia.  Her problem is a short term memory issue.  She would never be able to "work" it on her own.  So that would be a major issue.  And I doubt she would think,  "Oh, I can look back at the pictures to see this or that."  It just wouldn't be conducive to my mother and her issues, although seemingly logical in theory.

In the case of Alzheimers and Dementia, The cameras are used more for the caregiver and the care providers to be able to see what the patient has been up to. And in some cases Like my BF mother would take things and hide them on her. Her mother passed away im March a and my friend is still looking for a set of keys and a necklace her mom put some place and no one know where.

Before she got really bad with dementia she would give the house and any thing in is away to anyone she like. And if you asked her what she did with something she would say that man took it.

Fortunately, my mom is not that bad.  However, as she lives in TN, her care-giver is her husband and he thinks that only thing you can do on a computer is look at porn so as a retired apostolic pentecostal minister he doesn't want one of them in his house.  So anything with technology doesn't exist in his world.  My mom was very active on the computer until she met him and moved to TN.  Now she wouldn't know how to use it and it would be nearly impossible to teach her, unless she lived with me.  So, if that were the case, and I was her caregiver, then maybe it would be a good thing.  That was a long, drawn out, ranting answer.  LOL! SORRY!

It OK Tina

It is hard when our parents decline. I understand. But as the dementia progresses she probably would not be able to comprehend the way the to operate the computer.

I think the camera is somthing that they ware as they move about their day.
It is pinned to their clothing.

Actually, he was happy as a clam!  She had 2 other dogs and one of them had the same name as him, so he probably felt right at home!

Good Morning everyone

Just getting ready to make a cup of protien coffee since I had my breakfast of tunafish on crackers earlier this morning.  I still haven't drank anything.

QOTD:  Oh god no, I would not like one of those cameras. I would probably do or say something stupid and then it would be caught on tape!  It reminds me of when I was going through a divorce, my ex husband secretly videotaped me, yelling at the kids, and then tried to take it into the friend of the court to say I was a 'mean' mom because all of the kids wanted to live with me and not him.  Needless to say, it backfired on him, but still the thought of being hooked to a camera all day....nope, wouldn't like it.

Have a great day everyone!

Nan

Good Morning  Michigan.
I'm  drinking pop this am  but only because its all there is in the house to drink,    Was gone several days  and  fridge is empty,   Plus our pump is out  so I cant even filter water to drink.
Waiting on the repair guy to come  then will hit the grocery store and shrink appts for both  of my little charges.
QOTD  My life is pretty boring so I don't think  I'd like of those cameras recording just how boring I am.   But I wonder,  wouldn't it be fun  if you could turn it around to take pics of others to record those special events  without everyone knowing there's a camera aimed at them?  Christmas  Thanksgiving birthdays  showers  picnics  anything you want memories of!

Good Morning Everyone,
I am drinking my morning before exercise water.  I see the camera from good and bad points.  For me the camera would be good as it would show everything I put in my mouth and even what I might not but would want to.  On the other hand sometimes I don't care about what I do that I have to do why would I want to see it again. Time to get the house clean and get the exercise in.  I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!
