I couldn't hold this in any longer. I am so happy to share this with my MI OH family.
I have a secret

Well I have been droping hints all week. And a few of you have caught on but for those of you who have not. Here it is.........................................................

On Monday I got a call Cell Phone

from my surgeons office.
There was a cancellation. And since I had such good weight loss and have have not gained any back, I was selected to be moved up on the list.
Doctor

My new surgery Date is October 29th 2009. a few days to go.
I know that there are people out there that are wondering why me. I am not sure I have any answers to that question. I think that they(The medical team) think I am ready emotionally and physically and have all my ducks in a row.

I am so happy now my big monster Monster 2

(tummy) will be tamed and become a little goblin Trick O' Treater

It's funny because I came on tonight to catch up because I was without internet all weekend. I was reading your post about getting your house ready and packing for the hospital and I thought....Why is she packing for her February surgery now, in October? But I am too tired to put 2 and 2 together tonight.

my surgery actually got moved up two times.
from groundhogs day 2/2/10
to Pearl Harbor day 12/07/09
And now to Oct 29/09 This date is prominent in my life because it was the preferential leveling seniority date for people who got sent to new plants because there plants closed in the 70's and I had to use it for bid rights for 25 yrs. before I retired.
Also is just before Halloween!! Ghost Writer

What a cute post Mary. Of course congratulations are in order. You have worked hard for this and I know you'll be successful in your journey.

BTW, my appt. with Dr. Carlin is this Friday and not the 26th like I thought. Thank heavens Henry Ford sends out appt. reminders.

The same thing happened to me! I got a call at work and they gave me 3 days to get ready. I was so glad I didn't have to do the pre-op diet any more!

Glad you don't have to wait....now you're going to be freezing with the rest of us!
