Good Morning all.I am having fully loaded regular coffee. This weeks creamer is sugar free hazelnut. Not to shabby.I woke up with a headache this morning. The rants and raves were pretty cool.I totally agree with the new boss thing.I have a new job at work and have to help a new boss it's hard when I am so busy but I remember being the newbie once and needed help too, so I stay calm and do what I can.My rant for today is the scale hasn't moved in about a month I think.I did get some new scrubs for work yesterday.A uniform company came into our facility and I bought mediums.I want to scream it from the roof tops.I wore a 5x last year.Busting out of a 5x, now a medium. It reminds me of a song ,Madonna, I think"Who's that girl".Any big plans for the weekend.I have to haul trash sometime this morning(not in a hurry)Then my family and I are going shopping for costumes and to spend the day at my hubby's friends house.Supposed to be a bit warmer here. Thanks for being here OH of Michigan!!!!!!!!

Morning Danielle and MI,

Just had my first cup o joe' and on to my second as soon as this is typed.

I can't believe I'm #2, I've never been #2 on a coffee thread!!!, now I know the weekend threads are quieter by I'm proud of myself :).

As you all know (unless you aren't paying attention) I am a breast cancer survivor.  Anyways the place I get my prosthesis and bra's has a 'survivor' luncheon every October, so I'm heading there this afternoon.  It's a nice catered lunch w/ prizes!!!  Anyways they also have a fashion show, no not the bra's and boobs hahahaha.  They show the bathing suits they sell (that have the boob holders), pink ribbon wear, hot flash pj's.......anyways, I have modeled bathing suits for them for the past few years (yep even when I was 300 lbs I did it!), because they let you pick one item you modeled for free!!!!  So needless to say, if it's free I'm all over it....those bathing suits run well over $90.00, so I get a free one every year!

The rest of the weekend I'm going to putter around the house and actually try to get out side to clean up and prepare for winter, fun, fun, fun!!!

Have a great weekend all,

Edie

Oh my gosh Edie, you are so funny.
No one else would be like.....yeah, I had cancer and beat it, but I get a FREE LUNCH with prizes!!  Woohoo!
That was hilarious and made my morning.  I'm thankful you are so strong and are here with us.

Nick slept til 8am this morning!  What is really strange is last night I tucked him in and said "Ok, let's give mommy a big surprise and wait to get up until 8:00!"  (Nick knows nothing of what time it is, so that was pretty much just a joke to myself).  Sure enough, at 8:00 exactly he started banging on his door, which means he's ready to get up.  (He has a 1/2 door to his room so we can still see him, but he can't get out and hurt himself at night).  So anyway, I thought it was so sweet and funny that he just happened to wait until 8.....until I looked in his room.  Dave changed him at 3am and did not put his pj pants back on.  Somehow Nick managed to get his diaper off and decided to leave some presents for mom all over his room.  Sorry, I know that's probably TMI, but it's just too funny not to tell you guys.  It's almost as if Nick is saying "Sure, sleep til 8 lady, but when you get up......watch out!!!"

So that's what I'll be doing today.  Cleaning up poop from the carpet.  Other than that just my usual run to Trader Joe's and Meijer and chauffeuring the youngest kid around.

Have a great weekend!!

For all the **** I went through a free lunch and prizes is a good thing!!!

Brenda, if I could make you smile with what you saw this morning, well than my job is done today!  If I may throw a glimmer of sunlight on what you have to face today....at least it's the weekend and your not trying to run out the door to go to work (did that help?!?!?).

It did help!!

I don't sweat the small sh*t any more (literally!)  After 17 years, it's going to take more than a little poop to get me down!

Seriously, I didn't realize you were a survivor Edie, but I'm sooooo pleased you have also managed to kick the BIG C in the arse!

I had uterine cancer in June 2007, so I am 2 yrs out!   My dad found out a month later that he had colon cancer, we are both survivors but he is still dealing with his radical surgery and is waiting for his 5th surgery.  Unfortunately he's in England, I wish he was over here, I feel he would have a lot more options.

I hope everyone is enjoying this very chilly weekend.

God Bless You Edie
I knew because of your post, but only wanted to bring it up when you did.
My best Friend is a survivor for over 20 yrs. now.  My SIL is now battling the Disease. They said that the cancer is gone. but she has a lot of side effects right now.  Infected drainage tubes, staff infections, Lymphodema in off all place one of her breast. Just a ton of stuff. But she is a fighter and I pray ever day she will get through.

I know your struggle must have been difficult both emotionally and Physically. I wish I had given you a big hug at the cidermill. Just because you are here!

Congratulation on beating both The big C and Excess weight.
You are a strong woman.
