Saturday Cider Mill

I'm not the cruise director, but I am going to throw a couple of things out there for tomorrow:

I will bring sticky name tags so we can identify each other.  If you've never met your cyber buds in person, it's really strange how no one looks like their avi.

It's a good idea to get a cell number from a couple of other people, especially if you think you are going to get lost (like me).

We are going to meet up at the entrance to the store where they sell cider/donuts.  I have never been there, but that seems like a sensible and easy to find spot to me.  If someone knows of a better spot, please let me know.

THE WLS POLICE ARE NOT INVITED!  Every single time I have met up with a group from the board, there was a whole lotta judging going on.  You shouldn't care what anyone eats or drinks or comment about their weight, etc.  If you want to eat a donut, good for you.  If your spouse or kids want to devour a pie in front of everyone...good for them!  I've seen others sit and gossip and analyze what people are doing, and it's just rude.  We are there to hang out and have fun, not worry about what someone else is doing.  Trust me, it happens all the time!  I'm sorry I sound like a mom, but it needs to be said.

Bring your camera and get ready to meet some new BFFs!

Sounds like a good plan And I got the
Poster all ready for the big event.

Name tags I was think that would be a good idea too.

Should we put our screen names on them and our real first name?

this is going to be so much fun.

Since you are going to be there Brenda, I am planning on comming and sponsering the donut eating induced dumping contest. Just kidding, but I will try to be there if I get off work and can make it. As for judging or WLS police, I am with you there, since I tend to break the rules myself, maybe, way too often. Oh, and I look just like my Avatar only better (OK maybe not). LOL

Is there a prize for the donut eating contest?  Cuz I don't dump and I have a pouch the size of Texas!

Well, I better not enter the contest then! I dump on everything. I think I may have a stricture again. I am getting ill on everything I eat again. Even water is giving me problems. Oh, well, I will see the doctor Monday. Guess I better get ready to get scoped again.

Hey Brenda -

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.  Kristy and I are driving down together - so if I get lost at least I'll have company.  I'll PM you  my phone number just in case though.

So Kristy and I were worried about lunch.  I called Yates and found out they have "concession stand food" - hotdogs, brats, nachos - and then just the apple baked goods and such.  So I'm planning to have some healthy snack before 11:00.  But wondering if we have any plans to do a late lunch together after we're done at the Mill?  Thoughts?

And yes... I plan to have something appley, so the food police can bite my butt.  If it's not a caramel apple, it'll be a donut and hot spiced cider or something.  Just giving fair warning, ya'll!

See ya tomorrow!
Pam

I think Suzanne is the only one of us that is from that area.  I will try to find out if she's going, or if she can direct us to a good lunch spot.

Of course, we can always Yelp it and find someplace.  I don't think there are going to be too many of us, so it shouldn't be hard to find someplace.

I have the GPS, so hopefully I'll make it!

Here are a couple of places.  Not sure if they are big enough to seat all of us:

Just another idea....
If there is a Panera bread around there that might work.  It's easy to push tables together there and from a budget standpoint it has a lot to offer everyone.

I plan on being there as long as it is not raining. I do not want to take Ladybug out in that rain if you know what I mean.

I personally do not like downtown Rochester because it can be kind of snooty but if others want to go there we can... There is a Panera Bread across from Lakeside mall that we can go to... there is Dave & Busters which offers great salads and video game entertainment...   www.daveandbusters.com    My DH loves that place and it is kind of cool to walk around and look at the games... would keep us busy indoors and they have large seating areas. We can also talk about it when we get together as well.

Brenda I still have your phone number so if I cant find you by a certain time I will call ya!

I am not sure what is near there to eat lunch at

but It sounds good to me

lovemylabbies said that there is park across from the cidermill

so if any one wants they can pack a picknic  or I like the idea of getting a lunch someplace.

Having not had surgery yet I am flexable and can adapt to any situation.

And if the WLS police are there be it known I am getting at least one of those cake donuts and some cider. It will be a great day!
