Hot Brewed Monday--Wake up!

Two years ago one of my New Year's Resolutions was to learn how to knit.  After many YouTube videos and some online tutorials, I learned!   Making felted bags is my favorite project.  Basically you use 100% wool or natural fibers to make a purse or tote bag, then wa**** in ho****er to shrink it down (felting).  You no longer see the individual stitches and it becomes a new piece of fabric.  Kind of like when you put a wool sweater in the washer by accident and it shrinks to child size -- same concept.

Here are some pictures of felted purses.  They are definitely addicting!  :-)  And knit up really fast so you can get one done in a weekend.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

Good morning, Bee!  I've had my coffee, but am contemplating a second.  I had a leftover piece of pizza for breakfast...LOL!  I was going to Hillsdale, to work a few hours at the in-laws, but my MIL called and isn't feeling very good and doesn't want to take the chance of getting Dub sick.  So, I'm home for the day...putzing around.  I made three different types of salsa yesterday and I still have a box of tomatoes!! GRRR....lol....tomatoes anyone?

QOTD:  Seems that lately the only type of eating I'm capable of is mindless eating.  Nothing sounds good or tastes good.  My husband is convinced things will be normal for me as far as eating is concerned when I'm done breastfeeding, but I'm planning on breastfeeding until he's at least a year and may pump after that as long as I can (the benefits of Breastmilk are far reaching...even into toddlerhood...so it's recommended to supplement with breastmilk til they are 2...we shall see!). For example, last night, I was going to grill steaks and I made baked sweet potatoes.  All that sounded or tasted good, was the sweet potato.  Meat and what not, just isn't appealing to me right now.  It tastes funny....so the past couple weeks, my eating habits have been BAD!  I rambled and didn't really answer your question...LOL!  I guess, right now, I don't do anything to keep from mindless eating.  Usually, if I'm up and about doing stuff, I'm ok.  I do have the hardest time in the car.  I always have the urge to snack in the car!  Fortunately, I don't have my one hour commute anymore, so that helps!

Good Mid Morning!
I'm drinking water this morning.  Had a light breakfast am looking forward to lunch.  . . ever notice when you stuck home food becomes the focal point of the day?

QOTD- I do some kind of needle work to keep my hands busy.  I'm doing pillow cases for my sisters for Christmas right now . . . after I get a few pair done I dye them tan and they look pretty good. Keeps the hand to mouth thing under control when you don't want to get your hands dirty.

Enjoy your day!

Afternoon everyone,

Can't believe it is 3p.m. already.

Today is better than my Friday was.  I went way over on coffee due to lack of sleep.  Flushed my system all weekend with water, and back to my normal morning cup today.

QOTD - I have been sewing alot lately.  Making mittens and hats for winter for my son.  He likes to pick out the fleece and I make him a 6 hats and 12 pairs of mittens to get us through the winter.  I get 2 hats and 4 pairs of mittens out of a yard of fleece.  We have fun doing it.  Nothing fancy, just keeps him warm.  I am going to try scotch guarding them this year to see if it helps the mittens stay dry.

After that, I get to make a godzilla costume for Halloween.  Should be fun.  Already have everything for it.

Back to work, get the rest of the day over.

Pam

Oh my gosh Pam....
when I read your post I was sitting far from the screen and I thought you wrote "I have been SCREWING alot lately".

I almost fell out of my chair!  And then I thought....GO PAM!  YEEHAW!

I guess sewing is a good distraction, too.  Although sex is good exercise. LOL

I think I need stronger contacts!
