Emotion Breakdown
I started my two-week liquid diet on Wednesday. Thursday went to the pulmonary dr., had to do a sleep test that night an hour away, get fitted for a C-Pap Friday morning. Saturday I went to an all day seminar about an hour away. I packed my drinks and "lunch" of pudding, jello and off we went. I thought I was strong enough to handle it but people all around me were drinking and eating cookies/conuts. I got a cup of decaf coffee then drank a SlimFast. When lunch rolled around everyone in our group went to Wendy's. I took in my lunch, thinking "I can handle this" but alas I broke down. NO...I didn't eat anything that I wasn't supposed to but the emotions just surfaced and I found myself in tears! Ugh! Do you know how embarassing that is!?! Went back to the seminar with red, swollen eyes and a Rudolph nose!
Yesterday I did get closer to what I am supposed to be eating - 1200 calories - than the past few days but still not there! I am so sick of SWEET! Give me SALT! Ugh! I did take a SMALL bite of bread (about the size of a pencil eraser). Yummy! LMBO

Hi, We all know this is a very emotional time facing WLS....everyone has been there. It's a whole new way of living and there are many changes to be made. You did great -- even if you broke down, you stuck to your plan and that's what counts.
We have a support group in Sturgis that meets the first Monday evening of each month at the hospital - it's in the private dining room next to the cafeteria and starts at 7 p.m. Won't you consider joining us - we have all types of folks - pre-ops, post-ops, and those just interested in WLS. We'd love to have you with us -- there is lots of discussion and everyone there is ready and willing to offer their support. Please consider coming - I think you will be glad you did.

Done! Your Ticker:
Oh yes, I remember you called, wasn't sure of the name, and wondered why we didn't see you that nite.....our group has been small lately, people are busy, I guess.....hopefully it will grown some now that school is back in session and vacations are over.
Looking forward to meeting you in person.
