Dr. Lutrzykowski, Bloomfield Hills, MI

Anyone have this surgeon do their surgery revision or otherwise? What was your experience with him like? Please share. Thanks.

I actually don't know about him, but he was my second choice. I just got back from my first appt. with Dr. Pleatman. Since I already have the lapband like you, I'm going for a revision. He spent about 20 minutes with me, and I'm scheduled for Dec. 29th (due to school). I have BCBS so they are going to cover the RNY. I really liked him, very down to earth and we had a good talk. I loved my band while it worked (I got mine 08/04. Lost about 100 total and it got me to my goal. Unfortunately, since it "broke" I've gained about 65 pounds back.....

Yes, he was my 2nd choice as well but like I said in another post when I called Pleatman's office his receptionist basically turned me away because of my insurance. BCBS seems to be more willing to work with folks. My Lap-Band was done when I had BCBSM but now I have Aetna. So we'll see what Dr. L can figure out. I am getting good reviews of him so far so that makes me glad. I can't say I'm not nervous though. 

Yes, my band worked well at first too. Seems like after the 2 year or so mark for me it started to not work as well. I really need something with a malabsorption component anyway so perhaps it wasn't the bad but my eating choices. It sure is a finicky thing though I can say that for sure!! Thanks again.
