Thursday Morning Coffee
Drank my SB breakfast blend this AM and a little later on I had a
leftover piece of Veggie pizza from a pizza joint I went to with some friends last night. Deb s/f caramel decaf lattes from SB are one of my favorite treats!
Watching Dub in his activity chair from his buddy Brenda. HE LOVES IT AND GETS SO EXCITED IN IT!!! It's hilarious.
QOTD: One of our favorite fall activities is not really a fall related activity, but it always takes place in the fall. Anyway, every year, in Hillsdale, there is a treasure hunt. We have been doing the treasure hunt for nearly 20 years with my sis and bro-in-law. Technically, it's more of a road rally, with upwards of 150 cars involved. Everyone starts at the fairgrounds and you have to solve the clue which takes you somewhere in the county to the next clue, so on and so forth. There are 10 clues. We have so much fun. If your team wins, you plan the hunt for the next year. We've won, one time. Now we make sure to come in 2nd or higher. LOL! We have more fun doing the hunt than planning it. We generally finish in the top 5 ****asionally the top 10), which usually means we win enough money to cover our entrance fee, gas, and breakfast in the AM. SO that will be coming up around the 3rd weekend in October.

This has been going on in the past when we were there for a Pygmy Goat Show. It took us a while the first time. Couldn't figure out why all the traffic thru the Fair Grounds.
I like when we used to have the show on Halloween and they had the Haunted house there too.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
Yeah, I can imagine it might look pretty crazy if you don't know what's going on. Everyone gathers around the hosts as they do roll call and read the initial clue which takes you to the first clue located somewhere on the fairgrounds. Like 400 people just scatter. We have a system. My sis drives, I solve clues, my hubby navigates and runs for clues and my BIL helps with clues, navigates and runs for clues, too. My sis and I just wait in our car, which is NOT on the fairgrounds. We got smart. We wait for the phone call that tells us which entrance to pick them up at!!

Busy day around here as it has been all week. A working vacation for me.
QOTD- It's football, I love college and professional. I have a TV in my garage that I watch the college games on all fall, rain or shine and cold . . . just like being there without paying. I usually do a Michigan vs Michigan State party and host it outside but this year I will be laid up so it' looks like I'll to do an Michigan vs Ohio party.
I also love to decorate for fall and shuffle through the leaves when I go for a walk.

Good morning all!
I feel like I'm getting a late start this morning. All the directors and most of the secretaries were gone this morning to an awards banquet -- so it was just me and one other gal for the first hour or so this morning. We had a nice chat instead of getting straight into work.
If you all haven't discovered Nikki's "Bariatric Foodie" blog yet, I encourage you to check it out. I made her Egg Rosettes the other day and just had a couple for breakfast this morning. SOOO delicious. It's basically an egg quiche but instead of a pastry crust, it's baked inside a "ham crust". Check out my food porn.
QOTD -- Even though my favorite season is summer, fall is a close second. I love just being outside, enjoying the crisp air and color of the trees. I usually do my own version of a fall color tour in the fall.... mostly just find a spot that has beautiful color and play with my camera and see what kind of shots I can get.
Can't wait to meet you all on October 10th for the cider mill.... another fall tradition that I enjoy.

Man I have been sooooo busy, I was out of town last week Friday through Monday and I'm leaving again Tomm and then back Sunday, whew I've had a great time, but I'm barely getting anything done. Last weekend was a family reunion in Alabama, and this weekend is a girls weekend up north, starting w/ golf at noon tomm. So if anyone's missed me, that's where I've been.
Q: Since fall is my all time favorite time of the year I like so many things, but my fav. is seeing the color changes and walking in the woods crunching leaves under my feet.
