Good Morning everyone!
On a slow wake-up this morning. What's waking you up? Will be brewing the coffee this AM very soon. Baby Colin was here till 1 in the morning. Way past my bedtime. But he was such a gentleman!
Another fine Saturday morning! Going to start spare ribs in the crock-pot soon. Good comfort food. Fall is the best time to make comfort food
QOTD-What is your favorite comfort food? Do you still have it since WLS? Mine is meatloaf and macaroni and cheese. I still make it for the family but have so much less. DH appreciates it so he has more leftovers.
Time to brew the coffee ....

Good morning!

My usual protein coffee this morning - finishing up my 2nd cup.

QOTD:  I like my occasional glass of wine... I used to drink beer prior to surgery (not a lot) but of course couldn't after surgery.

As far as a food goes, I don't think I have a particular one that I "go to".  I just like all food overall - lol.

It a tad *****ili here in Garden City this A.M.
Found it hard to crawl out Of bed since we have not turned on the heat yet.

I have made a new concoction this morning and it is to die for.
6oz Blue Diamond Original Almond breeze
 2 tspns Almond butter
1 single serving of Bio-Tech vanilla protein powder.

this was a sample form Bio-Tech and it is made with stevia.
21 grams of  protein total in the drink.

QOTD: Perogies, It doesn't mater, Potato, potato w/cheese, sour kraut, cheese, fruit filled, prune, plum, strawberry, blueberry, apple, or raisin.  I LOVE 'EM! I never knew all the ways to make perogies I have even had them with kielbasa in them, My friend who migrated form Poland taught me to make the less know varieties. If you think that the regular Potato, cheese, and sauerkraut are good You should try the others. It has to be that carb, sauteed in butter w/ sour cream that gets me. I use to eat them by the 1/2 dozen and had to snitch some as they came from the boiling water too.

Right now I am avoiding all that stuff. Because I have made my mind up that I must not partake in things that are saboteurs to my plight. I am sure that after surgery I might one day indulge in perogie but I will surely limit how much I consume. And will probably be combined with some kind of protein.

DH and kids don't know that I have replace hamburger, and ground beef with ground turkey and ground chicken in things like spaghetti, lasagna, Chile, tacos, stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage, and any thing else that they can not see the meat.  Sha! don't tell 'em! lol

I had 2 cups of coffee again this morning...

QOTD:  Comfort foods have been diet pop and chocolate.  I still drink diet pop just not as much.  I don't care for chocolate anymore.  However today I took a square off my child's Hershey w/Almonds.  It was ok but nothing to get excited over.  I really want some chicken ceaser salad today though!  I love it.  Jimi
