Morning All

Enjoying a cup of Pam T's Carmel Apple Cider protien.  I think she has another winner here.  I had to modify it because could not find my nutmeg this morning, so I used pumpkin pie spice instead of it and the cinnamon.

Has anyone tried Nature's Way Metobolic ReSet?  It is a protien powder I found on the clearance section at Meijers yesterday.  I didn't buy any, but thought about it.  2 scoups has 130 cal, .5g fat, 21 protien, 6 fiber but 1 sugar.  It is sweetened with Stevia, which is a holdback for me, but I think I am going back to look at it, if the price is right, I might pick a tub up.

I also got some Muscle Milk Oatmeal.  I like it, normally don't eat a whole container of it, and it is pricy, so I don't normally buy it, but it was 80% off, so for $.61 per container, its a cheap protien source.

QOTD- I have not officially started, but I have lists ready.  My son wants a Wii and a couple of games.   I have to get through Halloween first.  He wants to be a dinosaur.  We seen a costume, but he is too tall for it.  I thought about buying it anyway and altering the legs - adding extentions.  But I found a pattern yesterday on ebay for a dinosaur costume, so I might just make it.

I was in Midland this weekend and stopped at Meijer.... stocked up on clearance Chocolite bars.  They aren't on clearance at any other Meijer I've been to, so I feel like I hit the jackpot on Sunday.  :-)

Nothing in my mug yet.  Just got back from getting labs done...fasting labs...from 3 different doctors. I had about 6-7 tubes drawn and a urine sample lol. Basically they are all about the RNY but there is a lithium level too.  I finally heard back from the program awarding me the $150 gym membership!  I start Tuesday!  I feel a little better with the cold today, but my mother called to see if I want to go to Walmart with her.  She said I sound terrible.  I am going to go anyway.  I need so much stuff that I don't know what I need lol.

QOTD:  I did see that some stores are putting out Christmas stuff.  I am still trying to afford the last 2 bdays and Halloween.  I haven't thought about Christmas yet.  I usually do get a pretty early start on it, but obviously you gals got me beat!  I will probably start the beginning of November this year.  I just bought this house and it's a little hard right now.  Speaking of that, I have workers out there redoing my septic.  They were supposed to be here 2 weeks ago.  I am usually pretty busy M-W but Thur & Fri I stick close to home.  Well now I have to listen to all that construction.  That's another reason I am off to shop.

Take Care ALL!

Good morning all,

I had the great pleasure of eversleeping this morning and since my boss is so unforgiving...it was a great expieence.

I'm working on my 32oz cup of water right now.

QOTD - My wife does all the Christmas shopping.  I need to only shop for her, decorate the house and play Santa.  My shopping starts within a week of Christmas, my shopping starts less than a week before.

Good morning!

Just finished my protein coffee.. waiting for lunch...

QOTD:  - No, I'm a "after Thanksgiving" shopper.  I've tried the early shopping before and found I bought WAY too much stuff when I did that.  Also, I think if I procrastinate, maybe winter won't come as fast....

Good morning all -

I feel bad that I'm happy my one boss is sick today.  He's been slamming me with work on top of work and I simply don't have time to deal with his stuff right now because I have other stuff to do.  So is it bad of me to be glad he's home sick?

QOTD -- Normally I don't even think about Christmas shopping until Thanksgiving-ish.  But its been on my mind early this year. I tend to do themes for gifts for the family (I don't have kids, so I usually spoil the nieces and nephews).   I'm contemplating getting everyone the same thing this year and had one idea in mind already.  Then I saw a sign that the Harlem Globetrotters would be in town on January 1st and contemplated getting everyone tickets to see them.  But Jan 1st is the day we celebrate Christmas with the extended family on my grandmother's side... so not good timing for their performance unless we can figure out a way to reschedule Christmas.

I used to buy early.  But then I'd WAY overspend because it didn't seem like I was spending as much since it was spaced out over time.  So then I condensed all shopping into a one or two day shopping spree with a very targeted list of what I would buy for everyone ahead of time -- which is what I have been doing for the past 5-6 years.  So not sure which direction I'm taking this year just yet.

Pam

Hi Ya'll Good Morning......

Been at work since 6:30. Had coffee, and coffee and coffee and water.

I have started shopping, but, with the move trying to remember what I bought and for whom I had to put a note on my computer to remind me. Oh wait! I have to do that anyway....memory is sooooooooooooo short.

Tina, you are very lucky to have such a big family to enjoy the holidays....I am lucky I have my 2 grandbabies and my daughter and my hubby here in Michigan. I would love to pack them all up and head home to Louisiana for the holidays.

I hope to make the cider mill meet and greet...but, someone please remind me.....

This morning I went through a bin and two big bags of clothing to get rid of.  Next I have to tackle my closet and then my dressers.  It's amazing how many clothes I've accumulated over the years.  I'm just getting rid of them.  I'm not even thinking, maybe I'll need them one day.  They're being ousted!  My girlfriend is coming up to watch my dogs next month and I'm going to let her go through them and then the rest will go to the church rummage sale.  I'm sharing the stuff between Goodwill, the Womans Resourse Center and the Church.
I need some good ideas for protein bars that I can just grab and go.  Something that tastes good, but has protein (am I asking too much?)  I checked out the Special K bars but they  really don't have much protein.  What does everyone think?

QOTD:I'm with Pam and Jody.  I used to shop the end of summer and early fall for Christmas presents.  Then when Christmas actually came I had way too many gifts bought.  This week I thought of something to get the kids for christmas, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was now.  It was something really useful too.  Oh well, maybe it'll come to me before Christmas actually does.
It is what it is.

What are you looking for in a protien bar?  You want something sweet/chocolate?  Crunchy?  Salty?   Or is getting your protien nutrition in?

Chocolate - Supreme protien carmel nut chocolate to me is like 100,000 bar.  I actually prefer the peanut butter one better.  Kind of reminds me of a nutrageous.  I also like the chocolite bars for 100 cals and 10 protien, they are a nice size and give me a chocolate fix.

Crunchy - I usually go with Kashi pumpkin flax crunch bars.  They only have about 6 grams of protien, but are a good crunch.

Salty - have not found any of them that I like.  Tried Soy Crisps - nah.  If I want salty, I usually go with 100 cal bag of microwave popcorn.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Pam.  Are the chocolate ones made by Supreme Protein?  Where do you get them?  I like ones that are nutty, chocolaty and caramely.  Sounds like I'd like those two.  I'm looking to get proteins in without the yucky protein taste.
The big question is where do I find them.  Meijers?  Walmart?

I absolutely love popcorn.  Do you think two months out is far enough out to eat it?  I'd love to.
It is what it is.
