I started this because
Some one posted your Chi Tea recipe and said they found it on the www. search
but they did not give you any credit for it.
So I did and wanted to tell everyone how tallented you are.

and...

Actually I saw her(HG) on ABC last night
she has become big trying to make recipes using things other then salad and chicken

I think you could do that for WLS people everywhere.
You have so much knowledge and share it so eloquently.

You should capitalize on it.

Good Morning!
What a beautiful morning . .. again!  My last day off and then back on afternoons at least I get to spend sometime outside before going to work.
QOTD-  My family has always made a big deal over my birthday  . . I think because I was divorced and when my kids were little couldn't do anything. . . of course they made up for it this year by paying for the balance due on my upcoming TT . .  I'm still floored!

Enjoy your day!

Morning all.

I was like Pam T running late this morning.  Got my son out the door on time and to school.  My hubby stopped me and made me 15 minutes late for work.  Good thing the boss isn't here today, but not like he would really make an issue of it.  Things happen and he is pretty easy going.

I am 44 today.  Nope, don't feel any different.  Don't feel 44 either.  Guess having a 6 year old makes me feel younger some days.  He told me last night I was a cool mom and the best mom ever.  Guess it pays to stop at the store and pick up his favorite cinnomon toast waffles for his breakfast.

My MIL is taking me out for supper at a restaurant of my choice.  Have it narrowed down to 2.  There is a whole in the wall bar/restaurant in town that has some of the best steak and shrimp.  I think that is where we are headed.

QOTD:  Unless it is my son's birthday, we get to pick the restaurant of our choice.  My son gets the big party.   I also share my birthday with my nephew who is in Oklahoma and of course Prince Harry of Britian.

wow that is neat my oldest just turned 12 on 9/11!  She wouldn't let me make her anything for school.  She says I'd embarrass her if I did.  Seems everything I do embarrasses her lately lol.  Oh well.  Happy Birthday to your son!

QOTD:  In April Nathan turned 10.  We had a bday party at the local gaming store.  It was pretty cool.  The problem was only 1 kid showed up (Well that and I ate a Lil Ceaser's bread stick 5 wks after WLS and threw up the whole time)!  This happened to Cheyenne everytime I gave her a party.  At times no one would show up.  Sierra always had a good amount of kids at her parties.  So anyway, I decided after Nathan's party not to host any more parties.  This is hard because I love throwing parties.  I think I am good at it (Aww that's what I could have posted on the thread a few days back)!   So this year I made cupcakes vs buying cakes.  I kept it very simple.  I decorated the kitchen with streamers and helium balloons.  I made their favorite dish for lunch and took them out to eat for dinner.  They also each got one gift bag with items vs lots of wrapped things.  I was kind of disapointed in it, but then Nathan got very jealous of the girls set up.  He wanted what I did for them!  So I learned simple is what they want even though it's hard to believe.

this is just after my divorce.

I had to live in a bad section of Detroit. Crack house next door.

My son was in 1st grade. so I had a big B-day party for him.
invited all the kids from his class. had a big cake. paid for a Batman to show up
He was really cool. he played games with the kids and took them out flying (pretend) in the front yard. I borrowed my friends video camcorder and taped the whole thing.
Yrs after while watching the movies we couldn't help but laugh when Batman was doing the pied piper thing and all the kids were following him around the front yard. and on the porch next door. were the crack head just LOTAO.
A week after the party the swat team busted them.

wonder if they thought Batman had some thing to do with it.
