Pam,
Where do you find the sf Cider mix?

Also, can you tell me again what vanilla protein powder you use?  I am still searching for a good one.  I jumped on the Eggface bandwagon and bought the Maxx and I absolutely hate it.

The SF Cider mix is at most grocery stores.  It's in with the cocoa mix and stuff. Here's what it looks like.

I use Body Fortress protein from Walmart (target, meijer also carry it).  By itself just mixed plain with milk or water it's not great. It's OK, but not great.  But when you doctor it up in recipes it's good and you really can't taste the protein at all.  This new cider thing is kind of like an Apple Cider Latte or something.

I buy the Body Fortress too.  Like Pam says, it's not bad mixed with milk as a shake, but it does get a little gritty when you get to the bottom.  My sons had some chocolate fudge protein mix by Gold Standard, and it's really good, not gritty at all.  It's almost three times the price as Body Fortress, but I'm worth it!
I'll be shopping for the Cider mix today.

The recipe sounds like a winner and I'm going to try it.  Where do you get the sf apple cider mix?  I don't think I've ever seen it, or maybe just haven't really looked.

Hiya Jan - the SF cider is in most grocery stores near the hot cocoa.  Check the reply I sent to Brenda... I posted a link to what the box looks like.

LOL Mary.  I don't mind.  Plug me all you want.

I was actually looking at my blog traffic stats the other day and noticed one post on OH that I didn't recognize that brought a ton of visitors, so I went to check it out.  Turned out it was YOU telling everyone to go check me out!  LOL

Ya know, I bought a hungry girl cookbook and still haven't cooked anything out of it.  I need to crack it open one of these days and start trying more of  her stuff.

I have the HG snack cookbook.  It has some good ideas, but she uses a lot of products that are specific to each recipe.  They are things that I wouldn't normally eat anyway, so I have a hard time picking them up.
For instance, there was one recipe that calls for Diet Sprite as the liquid, and since I quit drinking pop I can never remember to pick it up at the grocery store.

I know it's a crazy idea... but did you realize that they actually make things called "Shopping Lists"??  It's a novel idea.  You write down the things you  have to buy, then take that list to the store with you so you remember to buy stuff.  It's genius!  You can even buy them online
