Saturday Java!
What's in the mug this AM? Just got my pot of coffee brewing this morning. Nothing better than black and hot..
My sister is coming down for a bike ride this morning around Gull Lake. Very pretty ride.
Love these fall months!! So many nice things this time of year.
QOTD-What are your likes/dislikes during this fall season? I love the outdoors-the colors, the seasonal fruits and veggies. I love the smell of leaves and walking in the fallen ones. The things I don't dislike, but find more challenging are knowing the more challenging holidays for WLS people are just around the corner starting with Halloween, then Thanksgiving.... Got to get a plan going. What's your plan?
Have a good Saturday!

QOTD: I LOVE FALL! If I get down and out I just look forward to another fall. I can't say what I like about it specifically. It just all comes together and makes the perfect time of year. I love the colors, the leaves, smells, crispness, Halloween, etc. What I do not like is this: It means winter is coming and that my anniversary, had I not gotten divorced, would be 10-2. If I ever got married again I would of course want a fall wedding but I am trying to come up with the joys of the other seasons/times of year. But that's jumping too far ahead lol.

QOTD= I love the fall the best. The cool air, sunshine, colors, the smell of burning leaves. The thing I don't like during the fall, is removing the leaves! What a job. I bought my hubby a good Stihl leaf blower back pack. It makes a lot of noise, but is very powerful. We blow the leaves into big piles, then put them on tarps and drag them to the vacant land next door and dump them. I don't have a clue what we'd do with them if we couldn't dump them next door. Far too many to burn!
The plan for the holidays are protein first!!! Turkey or Ham or whatever. Luckily I still can't really overeat, so it shouldn't be too bad this year. The further out I get, the harder it'll be I'm sure.
Beautiful sunny day here in Northern Michigan!

I was up way too late last night (2am?) -- then slept till around 9:00. If I had my choice in life, this would be my normal routine. Can't stand the alarm going off at 6 during the week. This morning I got out of bed and went straight to the coffeemaker. Brewed up a mug of protein coffee. I have the Keurig coffeemaker and I'm working my way through a new variety pack of k-cups from Green Mountain Coffee and I'm not too thrilled with these flavors... they seem too weak. Gotta find a good dark roast for the next order.
Today I'm going to, I think, make a quick trip over to Midland to check out the camera store. I've finally decided to splurge on a camera bag and now that I've got my mind made up I'm going to drop $100, I just need to find the right one. So I've been hitting different stores this week - with little success.
Later I'm meeting my nephew to do his senior pictures. Wish me luck!
QOTD - I LOVE fall. I love being outdoors and love wearing cozy sweaters and love the harvest of delicious foods and love the fall colors. Love it all. But I HATE that winter comes next.
Last winter was pretty tough on me emotionally. Although I think I get a touch of SAD every year, last winter was worse than ever. I think it was because I'd discovered a newfound love of being outdoors last summer and fall... and with the extreme cold and the WLS-freezing-all-the-time thing, I just couldn't spend time outdoors last winter. So being cooped up drove me nuts. Hoping this year is better.

I am having some yogurt and then heading to the gym.
My son is having some guys over for his birthday today, so I will be heading to the bakery and grocery store, then cleaning up. He wanted a taco cake, which we ordered from a bakery, and Taco Bell for his friends. He's going to be 15, so I guess the theme birthdays are over.
I like all the good Fall stuff.....cider, crisp air, pumpkins, etc. Here's the love/hate: I have a weirdly strong sense of smell. So, i love the smells of pumpkin scented candles, cinnamon, etc. But when people start to burn leaves, I get a horrible migrane. It seems all weekend through the fall someone is burning them, and it really bothers me. It makes me so mad because the city picks up leaves for free! You just have to rake them in a pile to the curb. So why would you burn them??? UGH! We have a neighbor that uses a woodburning stove all winter and that makes me sick as well. My nose is a curse!! LOL
Hope you all have a good day!
Wow I made it before 10, albeit it 3 minutes before 10 hahaha.
First before I forget.....Brenda what is a Taco cake???
I just finished some egg salad w/ triscut's, not bad. After I type this I'm going to get ready to meet my sister, we're going to Arts and Apples in Rochester, then I have a Gilda's charity benefit tonight, Bras for a Cause, it's going to be a fun day.
Q: I LOVE fall.....it's one of the things I missed most when I lived in Phx., you don't know how much I missed it..... I actually got married in October so we could go away for our anniversary and see fall somewhere. Fall has always been and will always be my favorite time of the year. The only bad part is when it ends!
Have a great day all,

Hi everyone!
I drank my coffee this morning and then had some cottage cheese and yogurt. Had my 6 month checkup at Hurley yesterday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone since surgery! Actually, it was a year ago next week that I attended my first seminar to learn about weight loss surgery. And here it is a year later, and I am down 110 lbs! I am thankful everyday for the opportunity to have had this surgery. My appt went well and I got to meet the new dietician at Hurley. My bloodwork showed I am low on iron and B12 again so I have a prescription for iron and B12 shots. Otherwise, everything looked good.
QOTD: I LOVE the fall. I love the colors the most and I love sleeping at night with the windows open and getting a nice cool night and snuggling under the warm blankets. I love Friday night high school football games and Saturday college games. I just love everything about the fall. I think if I could live somewhere where the weather was the same everyday year round, it would be somewhere that had FALL year round.
Have a great day everyone!
