What's up for the day . .  do you have a picnic/BBQ planned?  If so what ya bringing?

I'm working 10 hours today so no plans for me.  My mom is fixing stuffed cabbage today so I'll be picking up a care package on my way home today.

Enjoy the "last official of Summer"!

Not too much.

Hubby is on his way home from TX. should be here this afternoon. He got laid over in Cincinnati
OH. but will be back on the road again this afternoon.

guess I will just make the usual home cooked meal. Chicken and salad, with some mashed spuds for him.

this summer has just flew by.

I didn't see much of it so guess I will really be a wreck in the winter.

Still unpacking.  The son and DIL and Gary left for home already.  The kids were so much help!  My DIL organized my whole pantry and said she had a good time doing it.  I can't believe they spent their holiday weekend helping us up here.  Now I'm on my own again and not looking forward to more unpacking.
I love stuffed cabbage (golabki in polish).  When I make it I usually do 10-20 pounds of meat and probably 5-8 heads of cabbage.  I freeze it uncooked and then just pull out a package, add tomato soup and bake away.  It's so much easier taking one day to make them than to do it each time we want them.  I'm not going to be making anymore for quite a while.  My bottom freezer in the house and my top freezer in the fridge outside are totally full.  Room for absolutely nothing more.  The one outside is mostly packed with venison so that'll be made into stew or something, except for the loins.  It's last years meat, so I've got to get eating it.
I've missed being on line here, but now that everyone's gone, I don't have to feel guilty being on=line.
I still don't have cable or internet here, but my neighbor across the street set me up to pick up his wireless access.  That's really nice of him.  Yesterday we took the kids to Boones Long Lake Inn ( a great place to eat) to say thank you for helping us.  After dinner we went in to Best Buys and bought a new desktop computer and wireless printer.  My DIL got everything set up for us and now I can print from my couch off of my laptop!  It's pretty cool.  Now, in my fridge, I've got leftover prime rib, tuna steak and perch.  I'll be eating well for the next couple of days!  Haven't been too strict on my diet, but now that they're gone I'll be back to watching the protein intake and taking the vitamins regularly.  It seems like a long time since Ive been on here, but it's really only been 5 days!
Good to be back

Mmmmmm....stuffed cabbage...yum. The Farmer Jack here in Chelea used to have really good ones in their deli, but they closed and the current store doesn't make them.

No plans for the day here, except some laundry and grocery shopping. We were gone for the weekend until last night.  It's nice to be home, although being at my inlaws is just like being at home.  As soon as the baby wakes up from his nap we are going to Meijer's. Fun.

Tomorrow would mean back to work for me...if I were going back to work this fall.  Still adjusting to that.  I'm happy to stay home, trust me, but it's just weird since I've been teaching for the last 10 years!

OK...Dub is up awake from his nap.  Guess it's time to get up and get going!  Enjoy your day! Tina

afternoon everyone.

I am working and enjoying the quiet in the office.  We have to have one mgmt person on duty for the holiday days.  It is a great time to get caught up on projects.

Boss stopped in for a while, but he is gone again.  Phone rings only to ask when we are open until.

My son has one more week of summer break.  Renovations were done to the school, and this is when the contractor said he would be done.  There is a big open house on Friday to see what was accomplished over the last 16 months.

I will be running against all thet traffic on my way home, so it should not be that bad of a trip home.  Having a cookout at my SIL when I get there.

I posted once but when I checked back in it hadn't posted and I was locked up so I hope both don't come thru.

I was in IN this weekend for a National Pygmy Goat Show.  Last weekend it was PA.  I was glad to have today to get caught up.  Not that I'm getting much done as I have the two grandsons so their parents can sleep/work.
