OH Meet 'n Greet
Hi Everyone
I'm new to this site, and am 10 days out from having surgery.(8/28). This site has been so useful, and I just figured out there is a state by state forum. DAAAAAA! I'm blonde, lol. Any advise from those of you further ahead in your journey? I'd love to meet all of you in person to hear more, so please count me in. Let me know if you need someone to research the meeting site, (if they have a meeting room free of charge available, ect.) Hope to hear from you all soon. Michele
Hi Jani,
Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear about your problems. it's all a learning curve I guess. I'm still on the beginning part of the post op diet, so it's just soup, protein drinks and yogurt. I'm pretty bummed, I only eat about 800-900 calories a day, and I got on the scale this morning and gained 2 lbs. What's up with that?????
Oh well, I guess it's a journey, so I need to tie on my boots and quit bi_ching, Lol. Hope thing get better for you.
Michele
Welcome! What type of surgery are you having? Do you have any specific questions?
I'm afraid your post is going to get lost in this thread, if you have questions you may want to start a new post.

Or there's always the Ren Fest -- that goes through 3rd weekend in October, right? I like Eddie's idea of Independence Oaks - great park. But we should have a back up plan for something indoors in case the weather gets crazy.
Anyone have a few dates we can vote on?

How about Yates Cider Mill in Rochester? http://www.yatescidermill.com/
Wiard's Orchards charges a fee to get in, and I am not about that. My DH has been to Yates and said it's got your typical cider mill stuff and there is a park across the street.
We should also have a back up location if the weather is bad.
What do you all think?
Does anyone remember the 'Supper Club'?
Long ago, they would have either a monthly or bi-monthly get together at someone's house. The host/hostess picked the date and time and whomever wanted to show up did...with a dish to pass.
That might be something to start again....except I'm not having you guys to my house. It's 920 sq. feet and there are already 4 of us and the dog. We can't fit anyone else!!
