OH Meet 'n Greet
I'm in. I've got allot going on in Sept. though, I'm avail. this weekend, the 12th and 13th, then not again until Sunday Oct. 4th. October 3rd I'm doing a fundraiser walk at the zoo (I saw someone throw out the zoo idea), it's for Gilda's club, we could meet at the zoo and help a worthy cause at the same time. http://www.gildasclubdetroit.org/ .
But I'm up for anything...... I'll throw out my favorite park, Independence Oaks, in Clarkston, http://www.oakgov.com/parksrec/ppark/independence.html 2 miles off I-75 (if you've ever been to Pine Knob, aka, DTE, it's a mile north of there) they have a nice little lake, walking trails, biking trails, baseball fields.....
Should we take a poll of what day is best for everyone?
Oh I just had a thought...... what about waiting a few weeks and do a cider mill???? Maybe one with a corn maze? Anybody???

I would love to meet all of you in person - sounds like a great idea! And I love the idea of a cider mill type of place. There's a great place on the Ypsi side of Ann Arbor (might actually be in Ypsilanti) - called Wiard's apple orchard. We can pick apples! http://www.wiards.com/

I like the cider mill Ide a too.
Why don't we plan a few meet ups. Like once each month at a different location then it would be fair to every one.
Say we could do the zoo. one week end by the way I really like the gilda charity walk. How could we join as the Oh.com group.
then we could meet up at a park for a picnic. we may even want to schedule those by area meeting so that the members could meet more locally with those in there area.
then a week end near Christmas shopping at burch run.
A luncheon at a resturaunt for after new years.

How much time dose everyone need to arrange their schedule for a meet up?

Oh great, plan a get together now when I've moved 4 hours away, nice, real nice! I'd love to be able to attend, and who knows, maybe I'll make the drive being that I'm retired, but I've got three dogs to consider too. If I were voting I'd vote for the Gilda thing at the zoo. Get in exercise and do something for a great cause and meet good people all at once! I'll be at a dog show that weekend tho, so I won't make it.
Hope y'all have fun tho.

I'll be at a goat show that weekend too. Edie has stated she would be at a fundraiser also.
If the date is open I would love to come. Would Lansing get the most people distance wise? Clarkson is good if we are looking at the 1 hour from Detroit distance. I'm not sure about parks, Edie might. I know our park in Davison has pavilion's but, on a first come first serve bases.

jani is back that is why I suggested that we have more than one meet and greet each month in different places.

Just keep posting the whens and wheres. I'm sure I'll be able to make one of them some time. I've still got my kids downstate so I could feasibly stay with them with the dogs. We'll see. October is a busy month for me with dog shows and my DIL graduating with her Doctorate in Psychology in Chicago. Should be a nice trip, I've never spent any time in Chicago and since she went to school there, she knows the place well. We'll have lots of fun I hope.
