September Coffee
QOTD: I don't really have any plans for the month, yet. At some point, this fall, I would like to head to TN to my mom's before the weather gets bad. She was here in June, but Dub was only 3 weeks old and I didn't get to visit much with her, even though she stayed here at my house. My mom has Parkinson's and mild dementia, although it's all very mild and not terribly noticeable. It mostly affects her short term memory. For example, she'll call me for a reason, but won't remember why she called. But she can tell you about things that happened 40 years ago. She just wouldn't be able to tell you whether she had breakfast that day or not. So, we have to really work on keeping her caught up on what's going on with all of us here in MI. She's only 66, so she has a lot of living left to do. We want her to move back to MI, but her husband, who has a myriad of his own ailments, refuses to live in MI and she doesn't want to be without him. It's a very touchy subject with my family and we aren't happy about the whole situation....if you can't tell. But now I'm ranting...LOL!
Enjoy the day! Tina

We have been looking for a mobile... We didn't get a whole bedroom set like we would have if we would have been pregnant and so far I have found the best deal at Burlington Coat Factory.. they have the Baby Depot in there ya know.. I found a bird one on clearance for 14.99.. I think I am going to go there one day this week and pick it up if it is still there. I figure it will go with the garden theme in the room..
See now I ran on and on about baby stuff. LOL Sorry
Today, I bought some pants and long sleeve onesies for him and a mesh crib bumper. As recommended, I don't put the cute matching bumper in his crib, but he needs something to keep his arms in the crib! He's rolling all over the place and gets an arm out every once in a while and can't figure out how to get it back in. LOL!

Morning all
Running a bit behind this morning. Had a dr appt at 8:15, nurse said not to eat because he may want to draw blood, so no blood and late morning breakfast and coffee.
At least he agrees, no more Physical Therapy. He wants to see where the meds he had me on takes me and I go back in 6 months. Right now, I am resolved that I will not get all the feeling back in my foot. I have numb areas on the bottom ball, heal and side of my foot. I just have to make sure I wear shoe/slippers all the time so that I don't step on something and slice my foot and not know it.
I am back to walking on a regular basis. My son got a new bike for his birthday, and I have been walking as he rides it beside me. I wish my husband would exercise with us, but I have given up on that. When he gets good enough on his new bike, I will join him for bike rides.
QOTD - My September goal is to get back up to walking 2 miles a day on my lunch. I really miss the time to myself. It clears my mind and makes my afternoons go by so much quicker.
Well it is month end report running day, and I need to get busy.
Pam
We write our own destiny. We become what we do.
Hope your nights aren't too cold this weekend Deb. I remember camping and it being really cool in the mornings. I didn't want to get out of my nice comfy sleeping bag for anything. Then you have to get up and ride! My friend Nancy Page has done that ride a couple of times. Way too many miles for me.
I've had nothing yet, just can't bring myself to do another protein shake this morning and we don't have a stove to fix anything. Just a microwave. maybe I'll do some oatmeal. That sounds pretty good.
Things to do gotta run. Hope everyone has a great weekend coming up.

Have you been out on your motorcycle? My main bike is in the shop - I dropped it (it fell over) a few weeks ago and cracked an engine case - then they found a rear axle bolt that was almost out - the guy at the repair shop said I had 20 miles until my rear tire would have fallen off...
I do have the other one as a backup, but my daughter is coming up this weekend, I've got to pack for Italy, and just too much to do to take riding time off.... we'll see though.......
