New....again!

I started my WLS journey in August 2008.  During the first month of my doctor supervised diet for insurance approval, I got pregnant with our 2nd (and last) child!  My baby is now 3 months old and I'm getting back on track with WLS.
Since last year, our insurance has changed from BCBS to U of M Premier Care.  So if/when I get approved, I'll be having my gastric bypass at U of M instead of the Barix Clinic where I originally planned on having it done.
I'm breastfeeding right now so I'm not really dieting.  When baby turns 6 months in November, I'm going to start my 6 month doctor supervised diet.  When baby turns a year, hopefully he'll be weaned.  I breastfed my first born for 2 1/2 years, a little too long for me.
I know I'm not allowed to be lactating when I have my WLS so I'm shooting for WLS by summer 2010.
Hello again, happy to be here...again :D

Welcome back!  I have a 3 month old, too!  I'm 4 years post-op, though.  He's my first and probably only, as I'm 39 and it took A LONG time to finally have this one!

Hope all goes well!  Tina

Glad to have you back.  My 2nd DD was approved for surgery when she became pregnant with her 2nd and last baby.  She has an appointment for next week to start over.  Hopefully she will be approved before she loses her insurance and her husband loses his job.

I commend you on your persistence on this journey.

May I suggest an alternate web site for you to try that could help you out while you are waiting for the baby to get on your program. it is www.sparkpeople.com it is free.

I have been using it, while I am waiting to get my surgery and Have lost 42 lbs since June.
It might be a good alternative in the mean time.

Then you could have support from both OH.com and sparkpeople.com

it has a lot of good information for those working  on weight. and a lot of good features too.

You can put in your information and how much weight you want to lose or maintain and it will give you a menu for you to follow.

You can even tell it what kind of food you cant have since you are breast feeding.

congratulation on the new baby. And many successes on you Mother hood and your Journey of weightloss.
