I'm home

I made it home Sat. and doing alright. Had some problems with my B.P. but hopefully I now have that under control, with the thanks going to my nephew that has been a paramedic for the last 17 years.

I can't seem to get down the sf Popsicles, jell-o, broth or the pain med. To me it seems like my smell and taste has intensified 10x's. Just looking at the above items makes me feel sick.  I'm trying very hard to get 64 Oz in with decaf tea or water. Yesterday I got 36 oz in. So far today I have drank 48 oz.  But still plugging along...
Thanks so much for the well wishes and prayers.

Glad you're home.  We can always rest better at home.  Just make sure you keep trying to drink things.  I found chicken broth very satisfying.
Rest when you feel tired.  I slept quite a bit the first few days.  Then I was up and at em.

Welcome home Cheryl!  Sounds like everything went well and you're doing good.  These first few days are tough with getting in the water and protein... just take baby steps and do the best you can.  You're doing much better than most with that 48oz!  Good job!

As for the smell and taste thing -- yeah, it's probably related to the ketosis and leftover anesthesia.  That should settle down in the next  couple weeks.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!
