Sunday morning coffee

Looks like everyone is still snuggled in their beds under the blankets this morning.
Hubby woke me up this morning with breakfast in bed (from McDonalds!)  Since our stove is on it's way up north he decided to go buy it for me.  What a dear.  I ate half of the scrambled eggs and a couple of bites of the sausage.  Then I felt that I'd had enough and threw out the rest, including the hash browns and the biscuit (which I used to love).  Didn't want to take the chance and try them.  Lately I seem to be having a lot of trouble eating much, but I can drink my protein shakes.  My son bought some whey protein by Gold Standard and it's wonderful.  Not at all gritty, so I'm going to buy some and mix it with my Fortress and see if it improves the flavor.

QOTD:  What is the nicest thing anyone has done for you on your Birthday?  My hubby bought me breakfast in bed today.  That was pretty nice.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jani!Good morning everyone.I am visiting some family on the eastern side of the state.I would have to think about the nicest thing I have received for my birthday.Hopefully hubby will come up with something good since my birthday is Wednesday.Just being healthy and having everything I need is all I ask for and so far I have all that.My cousin and I walked a bit this morning already but she is in for another she doesn't know about just yet lol!Have a great day everyone!

Hope you're enjoying this lovely eastern weather we're having.  Thanks for the birthday wishes.  It's really just another day when you get to be my age.  No big deal anymore.  Just to be remembered is good enough.

i had leftover taco stuff from dinner last night for breakfast.  it hit the spot baby.  struggling to get my water in lately....

QOTD:  I would say a grilled flank steak dinner!  You can keep your restaurant food, homemade is where its at!  my kids always do nice things for me on my bday.  Breakfast in bed, servant for the day [lasts about 2 hrs]

Yep, at the dog park there is an off-leash path and woods with a ginormous mud puddle at the end.  And i always forget to grab him before he rushes in there.  It is smelly like umm hippo water or something, nastay.

have  you been able to try any of the parks around you?  I know you wanted to socialize your dogs.  And the royal oak one is still freeeee!

I just came from the flea market with my grand-daughter . . it was kind of chilly.   Now just getting ready to do some laundry and laying low today.

QOTD- That is a good question.   I like simple gestures . . (doing the laundry, dusting, washing my car) someone doing something unexpected . . but seeing on how I just had my birthday I can say I got a gift from both of my children that surprised the heck out of me . . . when I saw the doc for my tt last month I also wanted a quote for the "muffin top" and it was thousand's of dollars . . my children went and paid the doctor's office and gave me a receipt in my birthday card . . . I was shocked . . I think they both knew if they gave me a check I wouldn't take it.  
I am still taken back by it  . . 

I would have love breakfast in bed . . . come to think of it I don't think I have ever had breakfast in bed. . . I may have to treat myself .  . . . .lol
