Sugar Free, Zero Carb, Protein Jello
I decided to experiment today with sugar free jello since it may be a big part of my diet after Thursday. The thought of just eating SF jello without any nutritional value didn't sit well with me so... I made some SF jello but substituted Isopure Zero Carb Liquid Protein (40 g protein per bottle) for the water. I poured the jello into ice cube trays to set up so the portions would be small. This stuff tastes pretty good. As close as I can figure the following applies:
Each cube= approx 1 oz. or 2 TBLS serving
Sugar=0
Carbs=0
Protein per serving/cube: 3.3 grams + a tad more

I hate jell-0 but I know its going to be part of my new life style. So if I have to eat it then I might as well be getting the protein in also. Does the jell-o come out of the ice cube tray easy? The Isopure you use any particular flavor?
My surgery is on Aug 20th also, but in Ypsilanti. So I wish you speedy recovery. Thanks for the good advice on the Jell-o.

I use whatever flavor I have. It all seem to taste OK. I am not a jello fan either but...I also tried using the Isopure to make SF vanilla pudding. That tastes soso; kind of watery. Today I made finger jello with the isopure. That came out of the tray pretty well. When making just jello cubes I still haven't figured out a good way to get the cubes out. I usually eat it right out of the cube with a small spoon.
