2 year anniversary!!!!
I wondered if that's how you were thinking. I'll let him know (both that you miss him and you thought he was my dad!!!).
He's been having an incredibly difficult time with his headaches. They're no longer really looking for a cure but pin management at this time. He's still working and all, but has some difficulties with short term memories as a result.
Again, Ill pass along your greeting

Hey Saxarino,
I was looking through posts and realized I did not reply to congratulate you.
Many times I find it hard to relate to your posts because I am so exercies resistant. I just can't imagine how you do what you do.
So, unlike many others, your physical stamina doesn't inspire me...it makes me feel guilty! LOL What has always amazed me about you is your attitude. You take the ups and downs with a grain of salt....don't let the small stuff get you down and keep on doing what you need to do to make yourself happy and healthy.
I hope that never changes about you! It's great to have a guy on the board that has reclaimed his life and been so successful!
Here's to many more years of health and happiness!!!
(Oh my gosh. I'm re-reading this post and it sounds like an entry in a high school year book!)

I promise you I NEVER set out to do what I'm doing now!!!!!! I always thought people that did the things I'm doing now were just weird and nuts. Well, they are: I'm just one of them now, lol.
You see, I've got 2 problems: 1) I've got a very addictive personality!! I loved food and eating so I had to find other things to do. I just happen to enjoy my exercising. But it has transferred that addiction nicely and healthily. I can also be very competitive so I took up golf this summer because I needed something I sucked at and I didn't care!!!! (Best round was a 135/140, I did have a 63 for 9 holes once!!!)
2) I can be lazy unless I make plans and goals. Once I have a goal, I'll get there. If my goal was simply running 5k's that's as far as I would've gone, I just felt that if I wanted to keep losing weight I needed bigger goals. I don't know if I'll go beyond doing the ironman triathlons (I'm pretty sure I'll do a couple of those though).
As far as my attitude, well I've got a 193 member marching band and have about 230-240 students in my program. Add to that very active parents and you learn that there are things you can control and things you can't. If you don't focus on the ups and learn how to refocus both yourself and your students/parents the stress will eat you up and spit you out pretty quickly!!!
We host our local marching band festival and my parents who work at the gate where the bands wait right before the enter. One thing they've always said to me is I'm the only band director that says "Go get them and have FUN out there!!!" They tell me everyone else is giving last minute instructions -- my thought is if they don't know it by then they aren't going to figure it out 2 minutes before the show!!! If you can't enjoy doing a performance than why are you putting in all that work to learn the show? I believe as a result my kids relax a little more than most of the other schools and even if we aren't the cleanest group out there we have my fun and more PRIDE in what we're doing than anyone else.
So have fun in whatever you do -- look at nut jobs like me and maybe marvel with wonder at why anyone would do it and then go take a walk with a dog and learn the simple joy of just being outside!!!!
