2 year anniversary!!!!
So as I sit here 2 years + 2 days post-op I can't believe how different my life is. When I showed some of my friends my before/after pics none of them could believe it. The one comment I routinely get is "I don't remember you THAT big." To be perfectly honest, when I look at those pictures I don't remember life like that anymore.
My weight has been stable for months now and I had thought I might lose a pant size after my TT. Don't know if I will (6 months post-op from that) but my pants are starting to get big again. If it happens I can gradually replace my clothes unlike that first year when I'd drop 2-3 sizes in a month, lol!
As many people who are obese I've got a 'slightly' addictive personality, lol. So my new vice is exercising and I'm loving life. I have taken up triathlons, biking, and running. I completed my first marathon last October and this year am signed up for three: Detroit, New York City, and Disney World. As far as the triathlon front goes I have completed 6 this summer and have 2 more to go. The longest one was a half-ironman which consisted of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run for a total of 70.3 miles. I suffered on the run and completed it in 6:30:25. I have one more of this distance left so I'm hoping to improve my performance but am still VERY happy to have completed it. I did register to compete in my first full ironman next June. Hoping that I'll be ready to complete the 140.6 mile journey.
For all those who are entering this journey use your time wisely. Take those first months to relearn everything you should've been doing to eat healthy. It's never any easier than then! Good luck to all!!!

Congrats on your anniversary. I'm four weeks + 1 day out as of today. I seem to be at a stall already because I haven't lost anything in the past 3 days. I've been walking the dogs, even today when it's so hot. I wish I could get obsessed with exercise. That would be wonderful, however, I'm really a lazy person and don't care much for it. We're moving, so I've had a lot of exercise packing boxes. I leave them where I pack them and hubby moves them. He's on his way back from up north right now after taking his truck and my brother's trucks, loaded.
I can't imagine doing a marathon, let alone a triathalon. Good for you, I admire your stamina. In fact, I can't even imagine a 5K.
Well, I guess I'll go mix myself some Tuna Salad for lunch.
Take care.

Keep up walking the dogs!! It all started with walking for me!! Things just somehow went downhill from there, lol.
Stalls are going to happen all the time -- DON'T get discouraged, just be honest that you haven't changed your eating patterns and the you're still getting in some exercising (walking the dogs 20-30 minutes 4x a week counts) and it'll happen. If you do that I promise the weight and inches will keep coming off.
