Hey Robin,
How are you doing. It is great to see you. In answer to your question: sometimes yes and no. Well I guess I am not sure what are really hot flashes and what are not. I do have a hard time regulating my body  temperature at times. I keep a sweatshirt with me on the hottest days because I am cold, then have to take it off, within a few minutes after putting it on, because I am suddenly burning up. It does seem to be getting better as time goes by.

Thanks Nic, I had my surgery and they found 3 hernia's!  Hot flashes is a menopause thing and I am pretty sure men don't have that.  So far today I have taken 3 showers to cool off and that's getting really old.

I know it will pass but I have absolutely no patience,  Oh well, its all part of womanhood!

Thanks,

Robin

It gets better, Robin, and I love not having the hormone swings and the moods that come along with periods.

Don't think of them as hot flashes, just think of them as power surges.

Thanks Judy, I was going to look you up when I was at Harper 4 weeks ago but it slipped my mind,  I had great care.  The lab people were dummys but  nursing was wonderful.

I WAS VERY LUCKY...I did not have hot flashes. But, I can tell you I have trouble regulating my body temp. since surgery. I can sit with a long sleeve shirt in the sun a lot of times and be comfortable...The 95 degree days to me are wonderful....So you could be getting a double whammy.....

Robin,

Talk to your PCP or OB/Gyn, there are both medications and herbal remedies that you can take.

Good luck, I've only had a few but boy they do suck :(
