Good Monday Morning everyone!
May all of you survived the weekend and are heading for a fabulous week! Pretty quiet weekend, getting chores done and some miles on the bike
What's in the cup this morning? Having my weight control oatmeal and then, later, have my usual black, decaf coffee.
Last night my eldest son called me from Texas. He is a funny guy and got me laughing over a poll he took in Facebook....
QOTD-What has made you have a good belly laugh lately? We all need a little laugh therapy in our lives. Sean, my son, read me a list that was on Facebook. It was called "7 reasons why your T-Rex shhouldn't do crack." Really funny. "Get Fuzzy" my favorite comic strip has been hilarious the past week.....
Don't forget to smile

Good Morning everyone!

I'm waiting for the babysitter and getting ready for work.  The wedding and reception we went to on Saturday was entirely in Polish.  It made a very long day and night when you couldn't understand anything anyone was saying.  They did have homemade Polish "wodka" at every table, so DH had a good time!  Me, not so much.

QOTD-I can't remember the last time I laughed at something.  Not that I don't like to, but I guess there just isn't anything around me that makes me laugh that much.  My youngest son is pretty funny, and if any of you know "Kelly" from the viral videos, well, he does a perfect impression of that, and that gets me every time.  Unfortunately, he's in WI until this weekend, so not much funny has gone on around here.   DH is the most awesome guy in the world, but no sense of humor.

Hope you all have a good day....and Katie, if you're reading this, I hope you get things figured out today.

Good Morning  Michigan.
I'm  drinking water now  will switch to tea later for some caffeine.
Had a nice weekend here got to spend most of weekend with  a college friend I only see every 5 years as she is a missionary in Africa,  Hubby worked so was just the friend and I till yesterday when They brought me 3 little kids.
QOTD   My foster kids gave me so much laughter yesterday!    I had blueberries to put up  and they wanted to "help"    Of course we all know  most of the ones they sorted went into little mouths.  They had never had blueberries they said so watching them taste for the first time,  finding the sour ones all that was such great fun.!
Have a great day everyone

 Good morning!

Well... I went for a 12 mile bike ride yesterday.  I definitely should have had a bigger seat cuz I got bruises where I don't want bruises.  Youch!  Also figured out that cycling isn't any better on my bum knee than walking is - actually worse.  So I won't be investing in a bike unfortunately.

QOTD -- The movie "The Proposal" has the most hilarious scene.  It's when Sandra Bullock is dancing with the grandma around the fire.  OMG!  I was dying laughing in the theater.  I think I need to go see that movie again.  LOL!

Hey Pam,
Good to see that you were on a bike. But, for the knees, you need to have proper seat height and not push big gears, meaning pedaling faster (more than 60 rotations per minute) at the lower gears. Bicycling is used for rehab on people who have had knee issues.
I always feel my knees when I have done a lot of hill work because I was pedaling too slow, using a too large of gear.
I want to see "The Proposal" I heard it was really funny, too.

Yep, that's what I'd heard about biking, so wanted to give it a shot. But it seems like anything I try that's suppose to be low impact and easy on the knees still causes me pain - it's getting annoying.   I did notice that my knee didn't hurt as much when I was on a low resistance and pedaling faster ..... but I was still limping for a few hours after the ride.  Maybe I need to go to a bike shop and get properly fitted (whatever that actually means LOL).   I just borrowed my nephew's bike for a quick spin to try it out.  We'll see.

A bike shop is the best bet for helping you get the right fit for comfort.   Now, the saddle piece is always a challenge. I wear padded shorts :-)

Yikes Pam, 12 miles is a little spin????????
Hey Debbie, hope you're having a great day.
I went for a walk with one dog today, just around a 1/3 or 1/2 mile.  Not much but a start.  I'm just soooo lazy.  Can't seem to get myself moving enough.  My middle back muscles hurt when I just take a short walk.  It's weird, but I'm going to try to get moving more this week.
I have to pack some more stuff today, but when I pack a box I leave it where it is until Gary comes home to move it.  My dressers are already in the trailer to go this weekend.
QOTD:  I had a good laugh last week, so much so that I was choking and coughing.  I can't for the life of me remember what it was over, but it sure felt good.

Jan - Don't feel bad about the exercise - it took me 2 1/2 months before I even started doing any... when you lose some weight and feel better it is much easier to get into.

How is your weight loss coming?  You don't have a ticker or info, so I can't see!!

I'll be feeling better if I can kick myself in the butt and get in gear.  I know I feel good after I exercise, but just am too lazy to get into it.
Weight loss is doing well. 26# so far.  I didn't weigh myself today so maybe even more!
