Sunday Morning
I do have a question. Why is it when I'm feeling poorly, if I lay on my left side, as has been suggested, I feel better. Is the stoma part of the stomach on the right side and the gravity pulls the food away from it? Just can't figure it out.
QOTD: Do you dream about food? (I dreamed about Reuben sandwiches last night) and What is your favorite food after WLS. (My curious mind wants to know)
Jan
It cant make up its mind here about the weather, first rain then sun then rain. How can I hang out clothes to dry if it keeps doing that?
I hope its a nice day for the train festivals last day. I guess we are finally getting to go today since hubby is a model train or all trains fan. I wanted to finish the house today after church hes thinking trains and after a 65 hr work week I definitely think trains is the way to go as he does deserve it!
I think my favorite food still remain the same. turkey pizza pork.
Have a great Michigan day everyone.
It is a good day. I got up early too. I watched the weather. I don't want to be a wet blanket ,but I think that the weather said we were in for a shower or two still this week. I hope I was wrong and watching Chicago's' weather. LOL
Glad to know you are doing good.
I had a real productive morning. got the bucket and the shovel and walked the yard cleaning up dogging land mines. But that is done. and I can now make my son get up and cut the lawn. He is a good kid just has to be motivated.
I cut the lawn my self be we have a rider and for some reason I cant seem to make the safety switch stay engaged so the darn thing will keep running.
I am still fighting that bad back. I have tons of shopping and running to do, and I can't seem to get going. Instead, I'm watching DH cut the grass.
QOTD-I dream about some weird stuff, but never food. I don't think I have a favorite food, but I do know that good ranch dressing makes everything taste better!
I don't know the answer to the left-side question Jan. I hope someone else does!
ETA-I just tried some of the Carbmaster yogurt because everyone is raving. IMO, it is nasty! The Dannon Light 'n Fit tastes like a million times better, and the texture is better. YUCK!! I'm glad I only bought two to try. It is cheaper, but it tastes cheaper.
I was up at 9 this morning. I snoozed in and I was so happy about.. I have already helped cut the grass, weedwhack the yard, and moved some plants. I also got some new plants that I put in some spots to grow for awhile.. I also had to restake my massive tomato plant that I have out back.
I think the rest of the day I am going to lounge around, read a little and work on my 2009 scrapbook some more.
QOTD: I used to dream about food probably for the first 6 months after surgery. I don't dream about food much anymore. I tend to dream about more about whatever I watched before I went to bed on TV. I dreamt about Deadliest Catch the other night and how I was hanging with Jonathon and Andy from the Time Bandit.. I think about food throughout the day for sure though. LOL
Brenda: I agree with you.. I tried that greek yogurt that everyone loved too and IMO I thought it was gross. I love the light and fight SOOO much more.. Have you tried the watermelon and cantaloupe flavors though... I didn't like those ones that much. I love the vanilla or the strawberry banana one.
Good evening!
It poured rain this morning - we had lake effect rain going on - not bad enough we get lake effect snow....
Jan - I think when you lay on left side it has something to do with the organs inside and where they move too - taking pressure of them.... just guessing, but that worked for me too.
QOTD: Don't know if I have a favorite food- just like the foods I had liked prior to surgery, but I just eat a lot less of them.
Brenda - greek yogurt tastes like glue to me - but I mix 1/2 scoop vanilla protein in it and SF jelly (strawberry, grape, etc) and makes it taste GREAT!
