I am so sorry for you and sending prayers your way. Those platus have no mercy, they will break though. In stress managemnt during nursing school, pick one item you love and stair at it and think about the things you would like to do if you were in that item. I use an old family picture and look at each face and think about the good times we had, and any way you would change it.When your trying to sleep, try sounds of nature, such as light rain, or any animals you like playing and visualize yourself being there.God Speed, this is a rough time for you.  I wish you luck and offer many prayers for you.

My heart goes out to you Jennifer.  It's never easy to lose someone we love dearly.  You're entitled to grieve, just don't go under with it.
I usually like to sit out in a park or by the water.  Just commune with nature helps me deal with stress.   It really clears my mind.
Funny note:  I got a speeding ticket one time rushing to be on time for a stress management class.  The cop had no compassion.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather.
Don't know if you have a pet or have a neighbor that has a dog but take a dog for a walk!  It'll get you out and moving/exercising that will help with that plateau, plus I find walks are a great time to clear my mind and ponder on things.
Why take a dog then?  There is something magical about how excited any dog gets to just be outside and walking.  Walking with a dog (even if it's not your pet) just brings a special joy and purpose to what it is that you're doing.
Good luck with everything!

thanks Saxman...

i did have a black lab that was my walking partner... and the Fall before my surgery, we had to put him down...

im just tryin to not reach for alll the ways i dealt with stress before surgery with smokes or alcohol... lol

im have emailed my Nutritionist to see if i can change things up a little and nail down my diet a little bit to see if it will kick start my loss again now that things are slowly returning to normal--

"life is full of curves, but you learn to swerve"... i think i need to be more flexible lol

thanks for the hints hon!

Wow, I really know how to pour salt into that wound of yours --- sorry!

Do you like protein shakes?  I know I go on and off them but when I feel either a little run down or start gaining weight I go back to starting my day off with one and it really seems to help.
Good luck, you'll get through this lull.
