Update and a Question

Good news from the hernia front.

I was given the all clear from the surgeon to start more strenuous activities again.  I'm to begin lifting at 25lbs and working up from there.  The surgeon said to get a lifting belt, but I'm not familiar with them.  Does anyone here use a lifting belt?  Any suggestions on where to get one?

One more visit and I should be completed with the plastic surgeon as well.  Still healing after the issue with staph, but the infection is cleared and the initial 3" + opening on my left hip incision is almost gone.

hi Kevin! I've never used a lifting belt but I just saw them at Walmart. They're in the sporting goods dept hanging near all of the weights & such. I imagine most stores that carry any type of sporting goods would have them-Meijers, Kmart, Target, etc.

Hi Keven!  Glad to hear everything is looking good now.  All your sporting shops should have them.
