I always liked my legos.  I remember building houses and camera.  As for dolls, my mom wasn't a barbie fan (she didn't like the boobies for a 6 year old), so we played with the Skipper dolls and a miniture version of a barbie called Dawn.

Good afternoon!
I had my decaf this AM and then it was off to the Dr's for Dub's 8 week appointment, which meant SHOTS!!!  I totally forgot he was to get immunizations today and let daddy stay home and sleep in.  OMG...it was horrible...probably moreso for me than Dub.  He SCREAMED with each shot and I cried!  It didn't seem to last very long and I nursed him as soon as it was over and he then seemed fine.  He's sleeping now.  Sigh....I've been holding since we got home because I felt so bad!

QOTD:  Good question!  Brenda, you make a good point about playing outside and still growing up overweight.  I was outside everyday til dark running the neighborhood with the 5 boys that were my neighbors.  I was such a tomboy!  As a very young child, I had a Velvet "Crissy" doll, too, but it had long, red hair, like mine was.  I also had LOTS of barbies that I played with, too, so wasn't completely tom-boyed out.  LOL!   I LOVED my bike, too!  And I had lots of books and spent hours at the library.  I read constantly.   My dad worked nights, so during the summer we were shoo-ed out of the house or we had to be VERY quiet in the house.  Oh, and CAPTURE THE FLAG....a blast!  My dad would play with us.  We'd have the entire neighborhood out playing and dad was the biggest kid of us all!

We used to play Ghost in the Graveyard all the time.

I used to walk up to 7-11 every day and buy my dad a pack of cigarettes and myself a Slurpee and about $2.00 worth of penny candy.  They always let me buy smokes for Dad, and then I got to keep the change.  I guess that should have told my parents something.....I was willing to work for candy!  Gee, I wonder how I ended up a smoker (not anymore) and a sweets lover??

Geez, Brenda,
My dad used to make me do the samething, too. Never got into smoking, but loved getting the candy...
