Adolphs meat tenderizer

My instructions were wrong.  I checked back in my book and it says to use a pinch of meat tenderizer in a cup of warm water if you've got meat stuck.  NOT 1/2- 1 tsp.  Sorry.
It is what it is.

A much better tasting (and I think works better) solution is Papya Enzymes.  Buy them at Walmart or wherever.  They are tiny chewable pills and taste pretty good.  It's an enzyme, so works in the same way as meat tenderizer.  Just chew up one pill and swallow it.  Wait a minute or so and chew another one.  Usually it takes 3 or 4 pills and the meat is unstuck.

I keep a stash in my purse at all times.  Even this far out (20 months) I still get stuff stuck once in a while.

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

I suppose it depends on your type of surgery...I really do not know....but, I had RNY and I still get stuff stuck, especially pasta or chicken...I am almost 7 yrs out and I figure I will always get something stuck..... Ouch! Oh, I tried the papaya also, they do work.....never tried the Adolph's.

Hello:

I was wondering if there was anything wrong with using mint oil products?  I drink peppermint tea to get through rough spots.

I use a lot of sugar free gum and mints, some which have peppermint oil in them, and have never had a problem.
