Don't kill that spider, Jani!  They are so good for the ecology and they kill the bad bugs that can cause us problems.  My daughter is terrified of spiders so I get to be the one to carry them out of the house to safety before she sees them.

But I suppose at 2 AM and unable to sleep, that spider is creeping you out and doomed.....


QOTD:  What helps you get to sleep? I have a terrible habit of sleeping with the TV on, so I wake up all nigh****ch two minutes of whatever is on, then fall back to sleep over and over.  Not the best night of rest.

I found another, bigger spider after spotting the first one.  They're both happily tucked away in a tissue in the waste basket.  It really takes a lot for me to get close enough to kill them, you'd never catch me carrying them outside.  I understand the ecology stuff, but they just creep me out.  Goose bumps forming......

Gee Jan... I should have come online last night when I woke up, we could have chatted.  LOL!  Actually I was up at 1am though.  This is the 3rd time in as many days when I've gotten the major shakes, light headed and needed to eat ... suspecting it's a blood sugar issue.  So I was up at 1am eating grapes and peanuts.  If this continues, a call to the Dr. is in order. 

QOTD -- I don't generally have an issue with insomnia.  I can sleep anytime.  Before bed I usually spend 15-30 minutes reading and it makes me sleepy, but even if I didn't do that I could roll over and sleep without a problem.  My BFF is a night owl - he's been known to call at 3am wanting to chat, which is fine with me because I can talk for a half hour then go right back to sleep as if nothing happened.

Good morning Jan!

My usually decaf and protein.  Bought a BIG coffee mug (32oz) and fill it with decaf and used 3 scoops of protein this morning.

I didn't go to sleep until around 1 this morning, so we just missed each other!  I usually can get right to sleep, but if I wake up in the middle of the night, I have problems getting back to sleep - depending on what is happening in my life at the moment.

I need to de-stress and relax....

Hey Michigan,

Wow Jan talk about an early morning thread!  You poor thing.

Today is my Friday at work!!!  I'm doing a girlfriend long weekend, we're going to Cedar Point for 2 days, then the Rock and Roll hall of Fame, then a day of shopping at this cool out door mall south of Cleveland....so I won't be on line till next week. 

Q:  Sleep and I have arguments now that I'm 47, yea.....  Some nights I'm out and down for 7-8 hours other days I wake up at 3 and can't fall back asleep until 4:30 to 5:00, VERY frustrating because it's too late in the night to take anything for it.

Jan if I have insomnia I take either liquid benedryl or I dissolve a 3mg melatonin tablet.  Both of those have me sleepy within 20 min's., if I take them in pill form it can take up to an hour.

Good luck getting some sleep today,

Good Morning!

Gosh Jan you should have called me . . I was up at 2:00 watching "Cold Case" until 6:00am . . this bump on my head has me all turned around.  First I thought it was because I was hungry which usually never happens in the middle of the night.  But I may have walked a little to far yesterday and I was pretty sore. 
QOTD- Hot tea for me  . . or hot sf hot chocolate.  I usually never have a problem sleeping but lately I seem to hear every little noise.

I'm hoping to enjoy a little nap in the sun this afternoon.
