Oh Wow!  I love flowers!  When I was in the hospital my co-workers sent me a huge bouquet.  My parents bought me a shirt in a super small size ... it was fun the day I finally was able to fit into it.
Sounds like you've got a beautiful arrangement to remind you how much everyone loves  you!

My Recipe Index is packed full of yumminess!

Good Morning Deb and all of MIchigan!

I had a big glass of ice water while getting ready for work and now I am eating my Carbmaster yogurt.

QOTD:  Geez, why do the weekends fly by so quickly??  My favorite part was spending time with Steve. Since we live in two different cities until we get married next summer, we only see each other onthe weekends.  So it doesn't matter what we are doing, I just like being with him under the same roof!

We did re-roof the sunroom and I have to say, I was so proud of myself for getting on top of that roof.  I am deathly afraid of getting to the top of the ladder and stepping up onto the roof.  But I did it!  It took me about 15 minutes to get up enough nerve but once I'm up there, I'm fine.  Its just getting from the ladder to the roof or the roof to the ladder that scares the crap out of me.  It's always nice getting a project completed and seeing the finished product.  We did that early Saturday so we had the rest of the day to play.

Have a great day everyone!

Geez Louise, I remember getting up on the roof in my younger days.  What a treat it would be to be able to do that again.  That sounds like another Wow moment for you Nan.  Where will you and Steve live when you get married?

Yes Jan it was a WOW moment for me.....more so of overcoming the fear than physically being able to do it.  Even though I was shaking like a leaf, I did it !!

We will live in Chelsea.  We are both going to keep our jobs and I am hoping to work from home (Chelsea) two days a week.  So the plan is for me to come to Midland Monday morning and go home Wed after work so I'll only be gone 2 nights a week.  I'll need to keep either my house up here or get an apartment once that happens.  We've been dating since 2003, have 5 kids between the two of us, and decided the best thing for the kids would be to wait until they all graduate and then get married and live under the same roof.  That way, no one was uprooted, etc....My son and his son are seniors this coming year.!

I was going to ask you the same question, Nan, that Jan did....where will you live?  Cool that you will be in Chelsea.  We'll have to meet for lunch sometime or something.  Are you ever around for the Sights and Sounds of Chelsea on Thrusday nights?

Hi Tina,
I would love to meet you sometime!  NO, I haven't made it down to the Sights & Sounds on Thrusday nights b/c I normally don't come down til Friday after work, but I have heard about them.  Chelsea is such a nice little town!

That plan sounds really do able.  Two nights a week to yourself?  The best of both worlds.  Can ya tell I've been married for 34 years?  Two nights a week to myself sounds wonderful.
I'm just so happy these past couple of days.  Just got back from walking Emma, didn't make the mile because I decided not to try it.  Probably did a half a mile tho.  She was tired and ready to get back home.  She's going on 11 years old and is too fat for her own good (like me???)  At lease I can make her get out and exercise, and it keeps me motivated to want to keep her around a few more years.  Digger and Sweetie are outside right now barking up a storm.  The squirrel is in the tree again shaking his tail at them and teasing the **** outta them.  Emma is just laying out there in the sun, not going to get her up running anytime soon :)
This Chai Protein Tea is just the t*ts.  I get in protein and actually like the taste.
The crushed pills are the worst thing of all of this journey so far.

Jan - too funny....LOL...I get a kick you :-)  "This Chai Protein Tea is just the t*ts
Ha!!   I love that stuff too.  I need to make some more up b/c I have been slacking on my protein drinks lately and trying to get in my protien by food, but I know I need more protein than what I am getting in.

I agree.....2 nights a week to myself will be just fine.  I can't afford to quit my job and try and find a job down there.  I have 8-10 more years til retirement and I get a full pension so it would be foolish togive that up.  He has 10 more years and he'll qualify for 'free retiree medical' for himself and his spouse, so we each have a big piece of our retirement we are working for.

Chances are slim that you'd be able to find a job anywhere in MI, so it's really the best bet to stick with what you've got.  I just lost my vision and dental coverage from GM with all the cutbacks.  Who would ever have thought that GM would go bankrupt?? It really sent me for a loop.  I have 100 shares of stock sitting in my safe.  Shoulda sold it when it was down to $3.00.  At least I could've claimed it as a loss on my income tax.  :)  Have to look for something good in everything.  I hate being pessimistic.  Do you work for Dow?  Hope that retirement pension is still there when your time is up.
