Hey, I'm on the other side now!  YaHoo  It wasn't as bad as I expected, however, I did experience some pain and nausea the first day.  My incisions (5) are a little tender, but for the most part I'm almost back to normal.  Hardly seems possible that I could have my guts rearranged on Thursday and feel this well on Saturday!  Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.  You know they helped.  I met a couple of gals I had met on the boards.  Heather and Kimberly from Canada.  Heather went home yesterday because she had a wedding she wanted to go to.  Kimberly was still there when I left.  She was having a few problems and may possibly have to stay another day.  We really should have brought some cards.  It was pretty boring, but the room was nice.  There's nothing like your own bed tho.  Can't wait until tonight to get into mine!  Thursday, Friday and Today, breakfast, lunch and dinner all the same, diluted juice, diet jello, protein chicken broth and decaf tea.  When the dietitian brought my meals in we'd joke, she'd say 'Enjoy your meal' and I'd say something about let me try to guess what it is....
I'm typing this with a sf banana popcicle in my mouth.  Oh, and what you all said, I gained 8 # of water weight.  Just weighed myself and it was exactly 8#.  Glad I've been on these boards enough to know it's from the IV's.
Thanks again, guys.

I'm glad to hear your back home and feeling good, considering what you went thru.  Everybody was thinking of you and wondering how you were doing.  You're lucky you got away with only 8 pounds of IV gain.  They double bagged me to get more urine out put and I gained a whopping 17 pounds.  I looked like I was a Thanksgiving day parade balloon.

Get your rest, keep sipping and walking.  But most of all take care of yourself and have a speedy recovery and a healthy wight loss.

Were glad to have you back home too!

Katie,

They told me their were a few reasons for that, #! hydration, #2 your not used to your bp being lower, and the most helpful piece of advice......get up slower, LOL!!!  But seriously it did take a few weeks for me to get over that, so take it easy.

Hello Friend - glad to hear your doing so well.

Isn't it amazing how fast it went.  Walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip and relax in between.

Take care of you and keep us updated!
