Deb congrats....welcome Colin James!

Tina, I'm happy to hear AJ is progressing so well.  This will help, it's all about baby steps, your life will be normal again before you know it.  But what's your new norm?,  Dub wasn't here before the strokes so you have to figure out what that is for you now, how strange that must be.

Q: My hubby will be gone all day tomm. and I plan on enjoying my house by myself!  He works out of the house so it seems like he's always there LOL!  Sunday we're going to Toby Keith and Trace Adkins at Pine Knob, we're really looking forward to that.

Have a great weekend all,

Edie

Adding Dub to our lives has been the easy part!  Trying to figure hubby out now...that's the tricky part.  But it'll come.

Happy Friday!
Boy has it been a long week.  My daughter and I were in a car accident on Wednesday afternoon, we are both fine . . lots of scrapes and bruises and bumps on the head.  My daughter, Jessica is really going great . . the young they bounce back so well.  I'm having a little harder time, I see a surgeon on Monday to determine if my elbow is broken - so typing this with one hand.

Deb - Congrat's on your grandson - what a nice name!

QOTD- Just going to be laying low for the weekend, I'm staying at my parents for a few more days before I head home.
Enjoy your weekend be safe!

Oh my gosh Kristy....I'm so glad you are okay!!  Sounds like you got banged around a little!  Back in Feb, my daughter was in an accident and totalled her car and then 3 weeks later my son fell asleep at the whell and crossed the line and crashed his car, not tatalled, but $1600 worth of damage...cars can be replaced, so I'm thankful they didnt' get hurt....ut it can be a scary thing!

Hope you are feeling better soon and again, glad you are OK!....

Congratulations Grandma Deb!  It is the coolest thing to be.

Tina glad to hear about AJ doing so well!

So your a photo bug Pam!

QOTD-I was suppose to take the 3yr old g-son with us to a pygmy goat show in Ohio but, the contractors couldn't get the drywall done (humidity) and want to work on it tomorrow.  So, we are stuck here at home.  Working on our part of cleaning up!

I guess I'll be the odd male here and post.  Congrats on being a grandma.  Babies are so much fun.  I had surgery on July 7.  I'm about to lose my mind right now as I'm sick of drinking.  I want to eat something.  I haven't given in as I don't want to get sick or go against doctor's orders, but I just want to eat food, no sweets, I want meat and a salad, how long do you have to wait to eat again?

Have a good day, what's left of it!

Congrats on getting your surgery!

This is the most difficult time, but this IS the best thing I've ever done for myself.  Food will come....you'll get there.  Meat and salad.....well that may take a bit more time, but they are part of my daily life now and have been for more 8 mos', but like you, I followed the dr's rules to the letter.  Watching my hubby (who had surgery in March) now and the fact that he isn't (following the rules)....I'd say follow the rules I did better  than he is now...he'll regret it one day, buy he won't listen to me....his loss, I've tried and tried but to no avail (sorry to dump on you :))

Anyways.....stick to the rules, they are there for a reason, they will do you well in the long run, you only have this "honeymoon" period once, take full advantage of it.  BTW I've lost over 115 lbs, I'm not as small as I wanted to be, but I am HEALTHY, for the first time in many, many years and I'm more happy than I have been in years!!!

Good luck,

Edie
