Thursday wake up! Good morning!!
Hey, I'm here early for a change! Drinking some decaf with s/f french vanilla creamer with a water chaser. Yummy! What are you having today?
Had a much needed night out with friends last night. We had pedis and dinner. Dub joined us but was fussy b/c mommy kept him out past his bedtime! However, he went to sleep about 10:30 and slept all night. He woke up at 6....fed him and changed his diaper...and now he's out, again. I think I'll even get a shower in this AM! It's a good day! LOL! What are you plans for the day?
QOTD: This is a NON WLS related question. I don't know if this has been asked recently, but since I wi**** were always warmer than it usually is, here's my question.....If you had to move from MI, where would you choose to live (barring a need for employment, etc.)? I, personally, would definitely move away from the snow and cold winters! We lived in NC for 2 years and I really liked that climate, so I'd probably head back that way. Florida would be my ideal spot, but I would choose the northern part, on the Gulf, in the panhandle.
Enjoy the day.....it's going to get "Cold" this weekend...highs of 70...BOO HISS! LOL!

Hi Tina and everyone.
Nice to see you on the post bright and early. But, I suppose Dub doesn't give you a lot of time to sleep in. It sounds like a good start for you!
I'm drinking my decaf and black. My DH is on vacation this week and I'm in a vacation mode, too.
QOTD-Colorado-hands down. Was in Boulder a couple of months ago and it is just absolutely breath-taking, beautiful there. I've lived there growing up. My next state would be NC. My brother lives in Durham and I love that area. I like the coastal area of NC, too. The summers are a little hot and sticky.
Well, stay warm :-)

Good morning and happy Thursday. I am going to some sort of Motown Celebration at the Ritz Carlton after work today-should be fun.

I would go to North Carolina-I always wanted to have an Aunt Bea to take care of me, and NC is where I might find one. Actually, anywhere that I wouldn't have to wear a winter coat and drive in the snow would probably suit me right now. I understand why people become snow birds as they get older.

Good Morning Hot Mama and everyone else,
I'm at work now, and it feels like it's going to be "one of those days". I spent the whole morning singing to NIck that he was going to the pool. He was so excited. I got him out to the bus and the drivers told me the pool was closed today. I'll bet my poor little munchkin rode all the way to school thinking "why did my mom lie to me? There is no swimming today!"
QOTD-I don't like the non-WLS questions, Tina! (just kidding). I would have a summer home in Michigan (nowhere near a lake, thank you very much) and a winter home somewhere down south. I think maybe NC, but I did live there once (right by TIna!) and it was kind of muggy and buggy. I had a ****roach in my kitchen the size of my foot!
Hope you all have a good day!!

I had a friend from CA that lived near me in NC. She called me one day, HYSTERICAL, because there was a ****roach "the size of the baby's head" in her apartment. It was hilarious. I had to actually go to her house to calm her down.
I loved the weather in NC, especially 70 degrees on Christmas day!

I can also appreciate a desolate cabin deep in the woods, like the Huron Natl Forest. Its a ten min drive thru back roads to get to a small, very small lake to fish. I like being away and unplugged for about a week. So if I may add another place to my answer it would be a cabin in Glennie, MI just for one week in the late summer or early fall.

Ummm, yeah. My definition of desolate is someplace without a mall, so I will not be joining you in that cabin.
My summer home in MI would be a tricked out cottage somewhere kind of close to a lake where my guests could walk there, but not close enough that I could smell fish or other nature-y things. And it has to be close to a cute little town with a bait shop and ice cream parlor in the gas station. And you have to get good cell and internet reception there. And there has to be a big town with good food and shopping close enough to drive to.
Unlike you, I am not high maintenance. LOL!

Good morning all -
Sending good thoughts to Jan today.
Drank a protein shake (Nectar Cappucinno) on the drive to work today. Than had my usual fake latte. Breakfast is schedule in a few minutes -- I brought yogurt and a banana, but now I'm craving oatmeal and blueberries. Darn.
QOTD -- I'd definitely move south for more sunshine. So Virgina, the Carolinas or maybe northern Georgia. South enough for mostly sun, but not so far south that I'll have to deal with hurricanes. Somewhere on the coast near the ocean for lots of beach time, of course.

Morning Teenie!
I have had ice water today. I was baaad about my fluid intake yesterday. But I am one who has to pee, i hope that's okay to say here, like every 15 mins or so. It doesn't work well with my day out with friends. i will drink extra today. I will probably swim and clean and do the dog park. Well, maybe just the dog park. I feel a case of the lazies coming on :-)
QOTD: First I would have a loft or apt. in NYC, but just to use during the Holidays. I would love to be in Time Square for New Years and also see the city at Christmas. Of course, my friends would be able to use it whenever they want, for vacations, etc....Then I would head back down to Ft. Walton Beach or Gulf Breeze (UFO sighting capital of the country) because its beautiful with the dunes and the Gulf. And its not too hot. And for the summers, I would stay on Lake Huron like near Bad Axe or something. I am High Maintenance.
