4 year Surgiversary-7/19/09
Just wanted to let you know that on Sunday I will be 4 years post op from RNY. Over the 4 years I have made some wonderful friends here and the support has been amazing. I don't post much but when something relates to me or I have a chance I do post. I started my weight loss journey back in........oh well how about the 8th grade? I actually was at my highest weight 4.5 years ago at 365lbs. I now weigh about 167, I fluxuate in between the 160's and 170's and am content with that. I use to wear size 48 pants, now I can wear size 8, 10 and usually medium to large tops.
Here is a photo of my success for those who don't know me:
And my pride and joy photo: (me riding on Junior, the AQH I had to leave due to a move out of my home in April of this year)
And one more pic that still blows me away:
That pic on the left was taken the day my Max went to Heaven, and at my heaviest weight, 365. The pic on the right was taken near Christmas about 2 years ago and other than shorter hair, remains current.
My final photo was taken in mid April prior to moving to Jackson.
So there you have it. I've come a long way, have had a total of 5 surgeries to get to where I am proud of myself, reconstructive surgeries, 2 revisions and rny. I am able to wear sundresses and just feel so much better.
4 years. Hard to believe and only 1 major complication- an obstruction a few years back when I didn't chew my chicken properly and it got stuck. I was hospitalized for 4 days- so as a reminder to you newbies- CHEW YOUR FOOD WELL.....take it from a 4 year post op!
Have a great weekend, I'm off to Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo for the weekend to do some major celebrating!!!!!!!!!!
Have a great Thursday!
