Good Morning Michigan! Not drinking yet.......Im trying to eat some soup this morning nothing seems to be sitting well these past three days. Everything feels stuck.... Any Ideas?
QOTD~ Water. I used to love drinking water and now I can't stand it. I have to force myself to drink it. I think its weird. Hmmmm.

Is it the taste??? I had that issue for the first year post op, I could not handle plain water. I tasted every mineral piece of dirt, fleck...in it. I started using those individual packets of Propel, Crystal Lite....
Just a thought.

Today is just a gorgeous day. I'm going to take the dogs out for a walk, but I'm going to do them one at a time rather than the three at once. This way they'll get exercised and I'll get triple the exercise I usually get. I love cool days like these (now) I understand that after my surgery I'll probably be cold. Just can't imagine that!

Just sipping on my fake latte this morning.
My morning rant --- why do men on the highway think it's cool to make kissy signs to women they pass while driving? And why is it usually really skuzzy men who drive clunker cars who do it? I don't usually have road rage over anything.... but I seriously just wanted to slam my car into his piece of crap truck and give him a piece of my mind.
QOTD -- fried egg sandwhich. One of my favorite treats used to be the sandwich my dad taught me to love as a kid. A fried egg with melted cheese on toast with ketchup and mustard. Yum! Since surgery my pouch doesn't like eggs and I don't do well with bread. So I haven't had one of these in at least 19 months and probably much longer because I don't remember eating it anyime just before surgery. If I'd known I wouldn't do well with eggs post-op, I probably would have had one of these sandwiches as my last supper meals.

Deb I love Saugatuck too, we were there a few weeks ago and it was like an ant hill.....holy moly there were allot of people!
Q: The first year post op I could not tolerate ice cream, and I used to eat it by the gallon :), but I have noticed this year I can tolerate small amounts, which is perfect! I haven't tried donuts, I'm a bit afraid of something like that. And, because of my diabetes I haven't really had cereal w/ milk in a long time, but I've always missed that.
Have a great day all,

Just finished my lunch and will start my water soon.
Congrat's Deb on the new baby! Also I went bike riding the other night - I can walk for hours and it doesn't hurt my knees but an hour on the bike and it kicks my butt!
QOTD- Rice, I miss rice. I can't do pasta, rice and for 3 years I couldn't do eggs. I have been able to eat eggs just lately and I missed them so much. But I loved fried rice.
Have a good afternoon!

Deb - what is a 'staycation' ?? LOL I haven't heard that term before.
I'm drinking sugar free hawain punch right now.
QOTD: For me, I miss sweets and fast food. I used to eat a lot of fast food sometimes twice a day, I'd go to fast food for lunch and then fast food for dinner.....Gross to think about now! But I miss the taste of fast food french fries. I was always a big sweet eater and I miss sweets....anything sweets I would eat, Little Debbie's, cakes, cookies, ice cream...you name it, I liked it. I haven't had any sweets since surgery at all.

Looking at your answer to the QOTD I can't believe how much alike we are. The fast foods, the french fries, the sweets, all kinds. I'm really hoping that my appetite for them will totally go away. Have you had any cravings for them at all since surgery? or are you just afraid to try? I think being afraid is good in this instance.
