Thursday Morning Coffee

Hello Everyone. Got your wake-up mug this morning?
Of course, I'm drinking my decaf and black for my wake-up juice. My PA actually said that caffiene would be OK now. She says straws are still a no-no. Think I'm doing just fine on decaf and will do an occasional caffiene drink. I do miss the straw.
Having a small exercise setback. Have a couple of sprains in my toes and really hard to do anything with impact, like walking. Found I can still pedal however..
QOTD-What does home mean to you? Home means walking in the door of my home and have my two doggies there to greet me (DH sometimes). It's having the company of friends and loved ones wherever I am and feeling totally at ease.
Hope you have a good one
Deb

Morning

I am up and getting ready for work.. Hoping that the Dr will actually work today and I can get a full day in because I need the money... I am tired of this crap with him and I seriously want a new job!! I wish I could get on full time with the schools... So I am hoping in the fall I can.

QOTD: Home is where my Hubby and fur babies are seriously... I hate being anywhere they are NOT... I go to my Moms and I feel comfy there for a short time but then I miss the fur babies... I used to be able to take them with me there but now with 4 kitties it is hard... So I tend to like to stay at home.

Morning, all.

I concur with the fur baby comment.  Home is where my V-dog is, and where I can take off my shoes, close my eyes, and feel safe.

Good Morning all,

I'm drinking some vitamin water and trying to get going at work.

It's so strange to wonder if it's too cold to put NIck in shorts in the morning in July.  What happened to global warming? LOL

QOTD-I guess home is my house, plain and simple.  I wish I had a more warm fuzzy answer, but I guess I never thought about it very much.

Deb, sorry to hear about the injury.....leave it to you to be able to ride a bike before you can walk!  Haha.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning!

Decaf with protein (mixed it too hot and it clumped - yuk).

QOTD:  That's a very good question.  Right now I'm homeless.  I just signed a lease on a condo and will be moving there.  I know that it will take awhile to make it *mine* and I don't know if it will ever get that way since I can't paint, etc to personalize it.  I guess I'm moving out of my home now... and need to look forward to a new life and find myself a new home.

I guess home to me means feeling comfortable, good, safe and content when I walk in the door at the end of the day.

Hello all -

I never understood the straw restriction.  I can understand at the very beginning because it's too easy to gulp too much water when drinking through a straw -- but once you get further out and you don't need to "sip, sip, sip" anymore, the straw rule just baffles me.  Our program says no straws for the first 6 weeks, after that, whatever.  I use straws often.

QOTD -- Home is being curled up on the sofa in my PJ's with a mug of hot cocoa (or hot protein chai tea) and a good book.  This is usually what my Sunday mornings are like and it's my favorite time of the week.

I'm with you, Pam.  I always use straws, always have.  Cold liquid hurts my teeth, so I waited my requisite 6 weeks and went back to straws.

Well, Good morning all.
Protein shakes and drinks only for the next 6 days.  I can use a straw tho   I'm going to head out to GNC and see what kind of samples of protein drinks I can pick up.  Hopefully I'll find something I like for now.  I understand that my taste will probably change after next Thursday, so I won't be buying a whole lot of supplements.
Home to me is happiness and comfort.  Plain and simple.
