Morning all,

Brenda, I used to work for a neurologist and I talked to him about using Tylenol PM for a road trip with a foster child we had who had ADHD.  He said with kids sometimes those drugs backfire and do just the opposite of what you expect.  In fact we used to give him caffeine if we forget his afternoon meds because the caffeine would calm him down.  Just an FYI.

Nope, I won't be watching MJ's service, at least not on purpose, you can't turn the TV on  without seeing everything about him.  I can't wait until it calms down.

Q:  Yep I think we all get in a funk.  Mine was last week, I couldn't exercise to save my life, but that's over and now I want to again, so I'm back on track.  Like you said "but I try to get out of it as soon as I can", I think that's what "normal" people do, and my goal is to be normal, so that's what I'm trying to do.  My boss once told me that she's good 80% of the time, of course I laughed and said that was my problem I was good 20% of the time!  Now I'm good 80% of the time.... again normal (well as normal as I can be LOL!).

Have a great day all,

Edie

Well, it's afternoon now.  I had Chai Protein Tea for breakfast and am drinking sf grape koolaid.  It's going to be my kind of day today, not too warm.  I went to Lowe's and bought some of that stuff you weave in the fence to make it like a privacy fence.  Now that I'm home, I'm too lazy to go out and put it on.  maybe tomorrow.
I'm tuned into the MJ service right now.  I also watched the Princess Di funeral.  I don't think I'll be as touched with the MJ funeral as I was with Di's.
A funk with my WL regime?  Well let me see, since I haven't lost anything to speak of, I guess I'm in a funk.  Just normal life for me.  Thursday I'll be in the all protein diet portion of pre op preparation.  Then I'll be sure to lose something.  I'm planning on being very strict and compliant.  I'm really lazy today and other than walking into the library and into Lowe's I haven't gotten in any exercise.  The couch is calling to me right now.  I wish I could just wrap my head around exercise.  Oh well, maybe tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good afternoon.  Dub and I slept in until 9 this AM.  It was nice.  Dub's only waking up one time in the night, but when he does he's wide awake for about an hour or so.  He eats, gets a new diaper, "talks" to me for a while and then goes back to sleep.  I am hoping that he sleeps all night soon and I'm especially glad that I don't have to go to work in the morning!

QOTD: I have been in those "funks" before, but mine are more of I really WANT to go to the gym and work out, but just can't get motivated to get there.  Once I'm there, I'm good.  Plus I get bored at the gym.  Like the rest of you have mentioned, even though this is a life-long change we have to make, it does get old constantly "worrying" or thinking about WL.  So, I usually don't.  Yeah, that's right.  I don't worry about it.  In the back of my mind, it's there, but I don't let it take over.  Sometimes, I wi**** would, so I'd be more diligent, but I'm healthy and that's what matters, to me.

Get out of that funk now girlfriend. You deserve the best!!
Meet ya at spin class at 0530...Juli will be joining us for her first time...a virgin!! LOL

No****ching anything about Michael Jackson. He was talented but a sick man if you can call him that. A little boy who never grew up. He had choices, just like us. Was he really that special?
I don't think so.
Now people serving in our Military, our police officers, teachers, nurses, doctors...people that really make a difference...they are my hero's...MJ doesn't even hold a candle to them.

We spent the morning with the insurance adjuster!  The water repair people were suppose to be here this am but, didn't show.  The guys they have tearing out the dry wall will be here in the am, I HOPE.  The DH spent yesterday sucking up water.  I think that is why the cleaners aren't showing as we are doing some stuff our self.  We couldn't just leave it there and let more stuff get ruined.  So, today DH has been hauling out 5 years of stuff the youngest DH hauled home at the end of her college school year every year from the family room.  We have almost everything hauled out that the co. was suppose to be doing.  He also got everything moved to one side of the "old" garage.

I spent the morning tearing out the trim and oak paneling.  It was the fist finished carpenter I every did and if it gets wreaked I'll be the one to do it.

Linda, one of our nurses said she tell clients,  if you can't say the "E" word at least be more active.  I really have been tons more active this week.

QOTD:  You would think it would be to soon for me to have had a WLS "funk"  But I had a bad one yesterday before support.  Got me out of it.
