Good Morning everyone!
How are you doing after the Holiday weekend? Hope it was safe and glorious for you! Went bicycling on the White Pine on Saturday starting in GR. What a nice trail. Saw a baby raccoon having a snack.
Went to Target last night and they are stocking back-to-school supplies. Didn't we just start summer?
What's waking you up this morning? Need to get my decaf coffee started this morning.
QOTD-What do you think of all the "plus-size" reality shows that are starting? They have a "plus-size" bachelor/bachelorette show called "More to Love' and a plus size dance competition called "Dancing My A** Off" I wish they would just have more plus-sized people in the regular reality shows than have shows that feature plus-sized people. It's one thing to have a show like "Biggest Loser" that shows bigger people making positive changes, its another to have it like a display of overweight people. Maybe it could be positive. What do you think?
Have a great Monday everyone!

I am up but not completely at em yet. It was a busy weekend with our big drain project in the backyard... so I need to get to work to rest today... At least the weather was beautiful though. Went to a BBQ at my inlaws on Saturday and had a good time. Yesterday was just filled with work.

I agree that the school supply stuff should not be out yet. I am sure Tina will agree. Don't remind her that time is winding down for summer vacation. ROFL

QOTD: I agree more sitcoms and that need to have plus size people but if you notice there are heavy men in shows more than there are women.. I mean take According to Jim for instance.. Jim and Andy are a little chunky on the show but where are the plus sized women on the show?? I personally like the reality show called Ruby on We. I think Ruby is brave for showing what she is showing.. plus I like that she is honest about her feelings.

Morning, all.  Just getting back into the swing of things at work after a three day weekend.  I think my big project for the weekend was falling in love. Wish me luck!

I haven'****ched any of the dating reality shows, so I won't be watching the big people make fools of themselves competing over someone they don't know and won't like once they win.  But I do like Big Medicine and Ruby and Biggest Loser.  I agree that Ruby shows us a big, beautiful, sexy intelligent woman.

Morning all,

Coffee is long gone, so is my first bottle of water, and my first cup of tea.  Time for some breakfast.

I have been absent for a few days.  My grandma passed away on 7/1 and the last few days have been exhausting.

QOTD - I caught an episode of dance your A** off, and wasn't really impressed.   Never been into bachelor/bachelorette, so I will probably pass on that one.  I do watch biggest loser.

Thanks Pam.

She was 97 and lived a long full life and has wanted to pass for the last 2 years, but it still rocked my world.

Thanks Edie

I have some wonderful memories of her.  One of her sharing her chocolate chip cookie recipe with me - It was nestle tollhouse - but they were the best.  She was an excellant cook and taught me alot.

Good morning all!

It's back to work after a 5 day mini-vacation.  Feeling refreshed and relaxed.  I spent 2 days at the beach, 1 day at the Detroit Zoo and another day at the movie theater (The Proposal is cute and hilarious.  The Solist was inspiring and very good.)

I'm wearing a skirt today.  ::: gasp :::  I pretty much stopped wearing skirts and dresses after I got home from college 20-ish years ago (a private, Christian college that required we wear dresses everyday, all day).  I found the skirt at Goodwill, brand new with tags, and it was so cute I just couldn't pass it up.  And I look pretty adorable today, if I do say so myself.

QOTD -- gee, I had no idea there were plus sized reality shows.  Seems pretty strange if you ask me.  If I were still morbidly obese I certainly wouldn't want that characteristic to be broadcast to the world and showcased on a TV show.
