4th of July coffee

Happy 4th everyone!
It's a fine Saturday holiday morning. May you all have a safe, fun 4th. But it's time to wake up this morning with a cup of whatever makes it happen. I'm going to get a cup of decaf and black....
QOTD-Do you think we are more or less patriotic since the recession? I feel we are more patriotic. With the recession I think we treasure the things in our lives that have more value than things. Patriotism is one of them. I still love to see the flag. I'm proud to be an American and live in the best country in the world.....

Happy Fourth of everyone! I am drinking my peach water this am  but its about to change.  Hubby invited me out for breakfast,  Then we got 5 kids we weren't expecting.  They haven't had but fruit so they will be going with us.  Ouch!   feeding 3 teens and 2 preteens!!!!
I also love this country so much.  The sight of our flag fluttering against a bright blue sunlit sky  makes my heart clutch for second.
I have often wondered ,  could our founding fathers understand our country today?  
Do you think they could understand the hate that caused 9-11.
What would they think of the way things have changed.   Many who don't marry,  abortions  that kind of thing?       just putting a thought out there.

Morning Deb... Drinking my old stand by here in Jackson ... It's been 8 days in the camper.. can't say I'm not getting my money worth out of it...lol We came down here for a Forth of July Wedding Reception and Camp-out with fireworks and a campfire.

QOTD.... Can't say more but can say "Made in USA " means more to me then ever before. People need to buy thing only made in the country ... with saying that more people would be working and the country would not be in this Shape its in...

I can't agree with you more.  But, I beleive it is to late.  People didn't care or understand when it could have made a difference.  Now there is nothing left to buy "Made in USA" 

Wow, it's 12:53 right now and only 3 people have posted.  Everyone must be busy.  We're having company here today so we'll be busy too.  I've been doing good these past two days with my diet and exercise.  I'm getting in at least a one mile walk with the dogs.  Today I started with a Chai Protein Tea and for lunch it was a cup of 1% fat cottage cheese.  I think for dinner we're going to plan on hamburgers on the grill.  I'll just eat the meat and not the bun.  I have so much trouble keeping down my carbs.  I'm going to take my measurements when I get home and keep a spread sheet of them and take them once a month on the same day to see how I'm doing.  I'm also going to  take a picture on the same date each month so I'll have a record of how I'm shrinking (I hope).  I'm getting more and more excited.  12 days to go. WOWEE

QOTD:  I don't think I'm more patriotic because of the recession, I think it was 9/11 that did it for me.  We all seemed to come together as American's at that time.
