I met a lady at our support meeting that checked out Sparrow.  She has decided to use Hurley in Flint.  She said they were way easier/better even if farther.  Lots of people here have reported going to Grand Rapids from your area too.

Hurley told me up front what I'd pay.  They have a great insurance lady that told me step by step what to do.  I had to go the process backwards because of my insurance and she was great.

My liquid protein kit for banding was $265 out of pocket and the cost for RNY was less, I think it was like $185~  Our center is "looking" into a solid protein diet instead!

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

I went to sparrow for both the Optifast program many years ago and later for my bariatric surgery.

The reason they won't tell you over the phone is because it's different for different insurances and also it depends on what you've already done.  For instance, some insurances will pay for the surgery only if you have had two or three medically monitored weight loss programs within the last five years.  Others are easier.

They don't have time to go over it on the phone, which is why they have the informational meeting where they discuss all the details and answer the questions of the attendees.

My experience with Sparrow has been great.
