Good Morning everyone!
Getting close to our Holiday weekend. Looks like a lot of fun things out there. Fireworks, picnics, festivals, friends, and a whole lot more.
Are you waking up? What's in your morning cup? Decaf and black forever!!!
They are showing the newest attraction in Chicago on TV. The glass "ledge" or balcony on the Sears Tower building 1300 feet in the air. It's entirely glass. What a view that would be. We've been to the top of the tower in Toronto where it is all clear plexiglass-what an experience that is!
QOTD-It's "open mike" day. Any rants of raves? Mine isn't earth shattering, but why do people, at the grocery store, pick up a bunch of bananas and take off just ONE banana and discard it on the display. So, the store has a pile of "onesies"? There had to be at least 30 single bananas at the store the other day. Makes NO sense. You want to say to them "buy the whole bunch"!!!!
I rave the 4th of July. My favorite summer holiday!!!!!!!
Have a good one!!

Good Morning Deb and All!
I'm getting ready to head home to bed . .  but I'm sipping water here at work waiting for my co-worker.
I love the 4th of July . . I live in Bay City and there is always so much going on over the next few days . . a fair, fireworks three nights in a row, the flea market is at it's best.
I saw the "ledge" your talking about . . I couldn't do it.  I'm such a chicken when it come to that stuff and I still see myself as 300 lbs so I think it would break on me . . .
QOTD- I have to confess I'm a banana violator, I'm single so I don't need a whole bunch so if there are not "onesies" I start the pile . . . lol
My rave is my daughter is here . . . let the parties begin.  I haven't seen her yet - her plane was delayed in Chicago last night and she didn't get in until 1:30am so my sister picked her up for me.

Enjoy your day it looks like the weather is going to make a come back just in time for the weekend.

Morning Everyone!!

Well I was up and at em early but then I received a phone call that the Dr I work is suppose to be sick... Oh please...us girls know that he plays sick sometimes to have the day off.... so needless to say my long day of the week is no more... so here I sit with no plans for the day but an appt at 3. So I will probably be off until Monday now even though I did not plan it that way... We would like to start our trenching in the backyard but the rain needs to dry out first.

QOTD: OMG a rant about the cost of medical or dental care even if you have insurance.. i need to have an impacted tooth pulled and then a replacement put in... well just to take the teeth out and prepare the area for an implant it is 2500 bucks.. Not does not include the fake tooth to be made prior to the surgery or the crown afterwards... it is insane... so here I sit with an impacted tooth because that just seems to be such a large amount to spend right now.. especially with my DH being in a lay off week and then another one in August... and we have Delta Dental.... Okay enough of my rant.. I am a little pissed can you tell? ROFL

Have a great day everyone. I hope the weather stays nice all weekend for BBQs

OUCH, on the dental work (cost and procedure!).  Hope you aren't in too much pain, in the meantime.  I need to go to the dentist, but I need to find a different one, first.

the pain is not that bad unless they mess with it.. I am just hoping that the regular dentist can get back to me pretty quick with the other quote...

Hope you find one in your area that you like... I am picky..

I'm awake....barely.  I napped twice for a couple hours yesterday, so I was not tired last night.  I stayed up late playing tennis on the WII...lol.  The baby is pretty much sleeping all night....wakes up to eat for about 10 minutes, diaper change and he's back asleep.  I had to get up early because my mom and her hubby left to go home to TN this morning.  My sister and BIL just left, to drive them back.  Western is asleep, so I'm going back to bed, too.

I've been to the "needle" in Toronto and Seattle.  Beautiful views.

QOTD:  Hey, I'm one of those that doesn't buy a WHOLE bunch of bananas.  But I'm also one of those people that will buy some of the "onesies"...LOL!  They go bad (meaning they begin to get brown spots....so they aren't really "bad" as I'm always told) too fast.  I like green, just going yellow bananas.

My rant is the weather.  I want the hot, humid weather back!  I should move to FL.

My rave...the pool.  I love it, but it's too cold to swim in it!  BOO HISS!!
Enjoy the day.  Tina

 Hello all!

Up earlier than I wanted to be this morning.  It's a day off ... why must I wake up so early when sleeping in would be the logical choice?

Started the day with a mug of protein coffee and a couple hours with a good book.  Now I've got a batch of protein ice cream churning (Root Beer Float) and contemplating doing some school work.  I picked 2 huge buckets of cherries yesterday, so I'll be pitting them today and getting 'em into the freezer (except for the ones that'll be made into protein ice cream, of course).

QOTD -- Raving about a clean house today.  I have literally been on the run for a month and the house has suffered.  But I spent most of yesterday (and this past weekend) shoveling out the crap.  I love vaccum lines in the carpet.

Have a good day all!
Pam

Good Morning cyber friends!

Pam-what kind of protein powder do you use in your ice cream?  I have been making it with the vanilla Max (suggested by Shelly) but found that the taste really overpowers the other flavors of the ice cream.

I would love to walk out on that ledge in Chicago.  I have never been there, so I'm ready for a road trip!  Unfortunately, everyone I know is afraid of heights, so I'd probably have to go by myself.

I wish I could come up with a rave.....I have been down in the dumps lately and everything is bugging me.   Ok, just for Deb I will try to think of one positive thing........ummmm.......... I might get off work early today, and I have tomorrow off.  So yay for that!!!!

Have a great day!!

Oops... missed this question from last week.  I use Body Fortress Protein from Walmart.  It's the same stuff I use in my shakes. (I also like Nectar Vanilla Bean Torte, but rarely bother ordering it online.)  Basically you have to use a protein powder that you like as a protein shake --- because it's not going to taste any different as ice cream.  I also use vanilla flavored soy milk for an extra punch of flavor.
