I'm sorry to hear of your loss.  It is debatable whether my brother took his own life in 2000 (he was 22).  He drove off a cliff.  Some say an accident, some say suicide.  I also have made attempts on my life throughout the years.  But in the last 4 years I have been doing well.  I must be as I passed my psych eveluation for the surgery!  If you need to talk you can email me anytime.  [email protected]

Oh Jan, I am so sad for you.  I'm sure he was in horrible despair.. and only saw this as his way out.  You and I both know that Jesus will know this.. and will welcome him into his amazing kingdom to live eternally at peace.

I pray you find closure while away this month.  Remember, God is good, all the time... HIS timing is perfect...

Jan

I have to tell you that I have dealt with this issue first hand.. My Dad killed himself by his own hand in 2003.. with a gun no less. He was a devout catholic and we were so upset worrying about him getting his last rites and then worried when our Priest came to visit us about him being in pergatory or not going to heaven at all. My Dad has blood on the brain the prior August and committed suicide in July the following year. He was never the same after his surgery to repair the damage.... forgetful, confused, emotional, became a little more dependant on things.. it was hard... Anyways.

Our Priest told us that God knows that he was sick and could not handle things anymore. He told us that he was sure that my Dad was in heaven. He also told us that sometimes we do not know when someone is going to leave us and that he was just called to heaven early because he had work he needed to do there. That God wanted him to work in heaven with him.

I hope you find peace in time... I actually went to therapy for a short time because of it. It helped me out alot. Just remember to talk about things and remember all the happy times. We do on a daily basis... And I know he knows how much we loved him!

Hang in there.  I think suicides are always the hardest on the families because there are so many unanswered questions.  Don't be afraid to lean on your friends for support!

I know this is late but still sincere.     I am sorry for your loss.  Suicide is the hardest way to lose a loved one.  They do not know the pain they leave behind them.  I hope God grants you peace.
Interlocken is beautiful.  I hope you have a wonderful and peaceful summer.
