Hotels between Detroit and Bloomfield Hills

I will be having my surgery in July at Harper University Hospital and my surgeon's office is in Bloomfield Hills. I'll need to travel back and forth a couple of times so I was hoping to find an affordable, but comfortable hotel between the two.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats on your date!!  Although I don't have a specific place, I would suggest one closer to Detroit than B.H. Anything there is going to be very expensive...

You're from Auburn Hills! That's one of the places I was looking! Is it expensive there?

actually, I lived in A.H. for a while... but not now.. that would actually be a really good place to look.. there is a holiday inn express in A.H right at the Great Lakes Crossing exit... i'd check it out...

The Antheum is really nice and its in Detroit. There are also a few in Farmington Hills, you can get right on 96 and go downtown.   There is a Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham on Woodward and Maple.  Check with your doctors office, they should have names.

How do you feel about casinos? Greektown Casino offers rooms for $99 many nights and those things are luxurious.

If you want to stay more towards Bloomfield Hills (is Dr. Pleatman your surgeon?), you could pick a hotel in Auburn Hills. Candlewood Suites is like $60-70 a night for a suite with a full kitchen and fridge, bedroom, etc. I would stay there but I'm within driving distance and will be going home to recover.

Yes, Dr. Pleatman IS my surgeon! Looks like we're a couple weeks apart - I have a tentative date for July 23rd.

Ah I see. Good luck with your surgery! You must be having Band or RNY, cause I'm having VSG and I know he doesn't do that at Harper.
